AJ walked out of the room and into the bathroom.
"LaDawn, Matt's mother left a note on my car yesterday," Micki whispered, she didnt want to worry AJ.
"What did it say?" LaDawn asked sounding concerned.
"It said, 'you'll pay for putting my son in jail bitch'," Micki recalled the letter clearly in her mind.
"Oh man, did you tell AJ?" LaDawn asked.
"I dont want to worry him," Micki replied.
"You need to tell him," LaDawn stated.
"I'll tell him today," Micki assured her.
"Ok, well I have to go, my baby's coming in here," LaDawn told her.
"Ok, bye sweetie," Micki said and hung up the phone.
She layed back down and closed her eyes. Just as she was drifting back off to sleep, she felt AJ jump onto the bed. Her eyes flew open as she stared at him.
A playful look plastured to his face.
AJ crawled over to her and kissed her lips softly. When they pulled away, Micki decided to have the courage to tell AJ.
"AJ, I have to tell you something," Micki began. She knew that didn't sound like a good beginning, but how else?
"Uh huh. What?" AJ said worried.
"Yesterday after work, I found this note on my car," Micki began. AJ's face relaxed a little.
"What did it say?" AJ asked.
"Well you remember Matt, right?" Micki asked.
"How could I forget?" AJ said, his face looking cold.
"Well his mother or father, probably mother, left me a note saying that I would get payback basically for putting Matt in jail," Micki told him.
AJ casted a worried look over his face as he looked down at Micki.
"Micki, I love you and I wont let anything happen to you," AJ said pulling her into a hug. AJ layed down and held Micki in his arms. Micki fell asleep quickly in his arms. Feeling his warmth and love and protection, it put her at ease.
