Dave Clark, the author of TIME--The Musical is the same Dave Clark from the 60's British band The Dave Clark Five. According to David Soames, who co-wrote the show: "The law of probenation is a play on the word "probation" which is handed out to a criminal by the British courts, it means that they are on probation to behave themselves otherwise the court will call them back and impose a custodial sentence on said criminal for whatever crime they may have commited!" The finale' song from TIME--The Musical is a song called "It's In Every One Of Us". This song can also be heard near the end of the Tom Hanks movie "BIG", as he is looking at his childhood friends and wishing to go back to his old life. TIME--The Musical was designed by John Napier (the designer for CATS and SUNSET BLVD) who later went on to design the Siegfried and Roy magic show at the Mirage in Las Vegas. Siegfried and Roy were such big fans of TIME--The Musical they had their costumes for their own show fashioned after the look of Melchisedic, The Time Lord from the London production. There is NO cast album of TIME--The Musical. A concept album was recorded using the voice talents of such artists as: Sir Cliff Richard and Laurence Olivier (who were in the original cast) as well as Freddie Mercury, John Christie and Leo Sayer. Other artists on the concept album include: Julian Lennon, Murray Head, Dionne Warwick & Burt Bacharach, Ashford & Simpson and Jimmy Helms. Freddie Mercury recorded two songs for the concept album: He released them on THE FREDDIE MERCURY ALBUM: released November 16, 1992 (UK) November 24, 1992 (USA) where they may be found on CD!! Four of the songs from the concept album made it to the British pop charts!! The chart positions are quoted from the "Guinness World Records (TM) Book Of British Hit Singles".
