God Gave Me I asked for Strength........
And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........
And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........
And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........
And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........
And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........
And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........
I received everything I needed!

God is like a parent. When we asked for designer clothes and shoes, we got jeans from Wal-Mart. It wasn't what we wanted, but they served the same purpose. We got the things we needed growing up, not what we wanted. I know I have prayed for things I have wanted without asking God if it is His will for me to have it. I have learned to accept 'no' from God or maybe 'In My time, Karen.' I have also learned to becareful what I pray for. Sometimes He gives us what we ask for and then learn it was not what we needed. Isn't it funny how God knows what will happen, but He lets us learn our lessons. It is important to learn from the lessons God teaches us. If we do not learn from them, then we haven't grown as Christians. Is that not the most important job we have?
