I have taken many pictures that there seems to be orbs in them, but I have learned that the majority of orbs, if not all, seen in pictures are nothing more that dust, pollen, dander, bugs and rain. I have taken pictures while it has been raining and the rain drops appear as orbs, like the picture above. For more information on the causes of orbs in your pictures please go to wikipedia

If an "orb" is suppose to be the energy of ones spirit, would not the orb that is full of energy have a light of its own and not have to be assisted by the flash of a camera? I would think, yes. I am not sure if anyone will ever know. I don't think you can catch an orb and put it in a jar to study it.
Dust, rain, mist, pollen, bugs, animal dander and the list could continue is the cause of "orbs" in pictures. Remember the closer these objects are the brighter it will look because of the flash.
