FACTS
Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon
sighted the coast of Florida on Easter Sunday.
Since the Easter season is known in Spanish as
"Pascua Florida" (flowery Easter)
and the lush vegetation before him held an
abundance of flowers, he decided to call
the new land "La Florida."I would like to
leave you with
this thought:"When you come to the edge
of all the light you know
and are about to step off
into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing one of two
things will happen:
There will be something solid to
stand on
or you will be taught to fly."
