UNIFORM REGULATIONS

1. YOUR UNIFORM IS TO BE WORN WITH PRIDE. IT IS THE UNIFORM OF THE GREATEST NAVY THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN. WHEN IN UNIFORM, YOUR ACTIONS REFLECT UPON YOURSELF, YOUR UNIT, AND THE UNITED STATES NAVY. IF YOU CANNOT WEAR THE UNIFORM PROPERLY OR CONDUCT YOURSELF IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER WHILE IN UNIFORM, DO NOT WEAR IT AT ALL.

2. All cadets are subject to the Uniform Regulations in the Cadet Field Manual.

3. You will be expected to wear your uniform once a week (normally on Thursday). The following applies to the issue, wear, and responsibility for the NJROTC uniforms:
        a. Uniform Issue: Cadets will be loaned, without charge, all uniform articles except underclothing, stockings, and name tag. You will be issued a clean uniform; you are expected to maintain a clean uniform; and you will be expected to turn in a clean uniform. Each cadet will sign an issue form upon receipt of uniform articles. Ensure that this form is an accurate inventory of what you actually have; it will be kept on file by the Cadet Supply Officer and you will be responsible for all items (or the cost of same) issued to you.
     b. Proper Wear:
•  Always wear a complete uniform.
•  Uniform will be worn the entire day. Cadets may remove the uniform for classes which would soil the uniform (i.e. shop, P.E.).
•  Covers will not be worn while in school except for NJROTC personnel inspection and drill activities.
•  You may not wear a civilian jacket with the uniform at any time.
•  You may wear the Utility Jacket with civilian clothing. This is the only uniform item that can be worn with civilian clothing.
•  All buttons must be fastened properly.
•  No articles such as pencils, combs, buttons shall be exposed when in uniform. Jewelry, watches, rings, earrings, hairstyles, and haircuts shall conform to those specified in the cadet field manual.
•  Female cadets are authorized to purchase black, low heel "pump" style shoes for wear with the uniform. Shoes shall be plain toe with no bows, buckles, etc.
•  Some Lee activities request/require members wear special attire to participate in a particular activity. If your participation in such an event conflicts with wearing of the NJROTC uniform, inform your instructors beforehand. We will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
•  The Dress Blue Coat may be removed while indoors. Keep hands out of your pockets and do not chew gum when in uniform.

IF YOU ARE ABSENT FROM SCHOOL ON UNIFORM DAY, YOU MUST WEAR THE UNIFORM ON THE NEXT DAY YOU ARE IN SCHOOL UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.
