CADET COMMANDING
OFFICER:
The Unit Commanding Officer is the
senior cadet and should attend all unit functions.
The CO is responsible to the Naval Science
instructors for the following: Development of esprit
de corps - the common spirit existing in the members
of a group that inspires enthusiasm, devotion, and
strong regard for the honor of the group. Correct
and proper execution of unit functions.
Recommendations for promotions and assignments.
Direction and coordination of the cadet staff
Setting the highest standares of performance,
conduct, appearance, bearing, and courtesy.
Maintenance of a 2.75 GPA. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL
TIMES.
CADET EXECUTIVE OFFICER:
The
Executive Officer will support the CO in all
respects and be prepared to take charge in the event
of the CO's absence. The XO should attend all unit
functions and wil encourage others to do so.
Additional responsibilities include: Attempting to
solve problems in the unit as they arise.
Supervising all staff officers and ensure they are
well informed. Supervising the preparation of the
unit plan of the week. Scheduling and conducting a
monthly All Officers Meeting. Maintainance of a 2.5
GPA. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL TIMES.
ADJUTANT
The Adjutant is a special
assistant to the NSI's. Specific duties and
responsibilities are not defined. When this position
is filled, the Adjutant will maintain close liaison
with the NSI's and be prepared to perform those
duties assigned. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL TIMES.
CADET OPERATIONS OFFICER
The
Operations Officer will support the CO and XO in all
respects. Additional responsibilities include:
Coordination of unit activities including field
trips, parades, color guard participation, drill
team participation, and other special affairs.
Coordination of Flag Detail assignments Maintaining
a GPA of at least 2.25. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL
TIMES.
CADET ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
The Administrative Officer is responsible
for all matters pertaining to the conduct and
documentation of NJROTC activities. Specific
responsibilities include: Maintenance of cadet
records Preparation of manifests for NJROTC
activities and ensuring that participants have all
documentation for the event. Such documentation may
include Standard Release Forms, Medical Releases,
waivers, etc. Preparation of correspondence in
support of ceremonies and inspections. Maintaining a
GPA of at least 2.25. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL
TIMES.
CADET ORDNANCE OFFICER
The
Ordnance Officer is responsible for all matters
pertaining to assigned weapons. Specific duties
include: Maintainence of the MK 5 drill rifles
Maintenance of all drill equipment including swords
and drill rifle repair parts Maintaining a GPA of at
least 2.25. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL TIMES.
COLOR GUARD COMMANDER
Specific duties
include: Ensuring the proper training of personnel
in Color Guard procedures Scheduling of all Color
Guard activities Maintaining a GPA of at least 2.25.
LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL TIMES.
CADET SUPPLY
OFFICER
Specific duties include: Maintaining
an accurate inventory of all uniform items Ensuring
that all uniform items are properly stowed Issuing
uniform items as directed by the NSI's Maintaining a
GPA of at least 2.25. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL
TIMES.
CADET DRILL TEAM COMMANDER
Specific duties include: Ensuring the proper
training of personnel in Drill Team procedures
Scheduling of all Drill Team activities Maintaining
a GPA of at least 2.25. LEADING BY EXAMPLE AT ALL
TIMES.
ALL OTHER OFFICERS/ CPO
duties
include: Supporting the Commanding Officer in all
respects Maintaining a GPA of at least 2.0. LEADING
BY EXAMPLE AT ALL TIMES.
