NJROTC Cadet Officers hold a position of
respect and responsibility in the unit and in the
school. They have earned their rank through hard
work and experience. They have demonstrated an
exceptional knowledge of military and naval
subjects. Officers are personal examples to junior
cadets and to the community. As such, they must
constantly strive to ensure that their actions and
attitudes reflect favorably on the unit. All
Robert E. Lee High School Cadet Officers are
assigned to a specific duty that is part of their
office. These duties range from positions which
place cadet officers in charge of large groups of
other cadets, to positions with responsibility for
equipment and supplies, to minor assistant positions
with unit support responsibilities. Regardless of
the duty assignment, each officer is expected to
carry out his or her responsibilities to the best of
their abilities. Each officer shall be a model of
military propriety. Appearance, discipline, and
pride should be the norm. School discipline problems
requiring referral to the deans are not appropriate
behavior. Neglect or mistreatment of junior cadets
to include all forms of hazing is also considered
inappropriate. Each and every officer is also
responsible for the high morale of the company.
Spreading rumors, joining cliques, and/or showing
prejudice or preference are detrimental to morale
and, as such, should never be practiced by an NJROTC
Cadet Officer.
I,________________________________, understand

in my being relieved of my office and reduced in
rank. With complete understanding of the duties
and responsibilities associated with this office, I
hereby accept the position of
