Meet Steve

"A man who works with his hands is a laborer;
a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman;
but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart
is an artist." --- Louis Nizer, American lawyer

Steve is the artist in my life.

Born Ronald Steven Johnson in Mooresville, North Carolina to Hulon Gene Johnson and
Rachel Juanita Beaver. In addition to the Johnsons and the Beavers, his ancestors include the
Burris, the Poplins, the Hatleys, the Almonds, and the Efirds.

He spent his growing up years around Kannapolis, in Rowan and Cabarrus counties. His
first job was working in Cannon Mills in Kannapolis.

In 1972 he came to Williston, FL and here is where I met him. When he arrived here he
started working in construction work and has been doing so for over 25 years now. He puts his heart
and soul into each job and is very much the perfectionist, believe me I know for I have worked with
him day in and day out for nearly 15 years now.

Although aluminum and vinyl work is our everyday job, Steve loves working with wood and
can build what ever he wants. He also loves a challenge. He uses his hand, his brains and his heart
and then he combines patients to accomplish his golds.

He puts those abilities and traits to work in all that he does. He enjoys building and flying R/C
airplanes. He is a member of the Suawanne Valley R/C Flying Club. Every Saturday morning
will find him at the flight field with fellow club members flying and talking airplanes. He also enjoys
repairing antique clocks and furniture. But airplanes are his big thing now.

A very unique person. He is an artist. He is my co-worker. He is my best friend. And I am

very proud to say, he is my husband.

I LOVE YOU, STEVE.
