A NEW DAY
Ah, a new day has begun -
we've been give a second chance.
We may enter it with unblemished romance,
Why not? said she, the maiden fair,
who began her day, without a care.
"For sure", said he, the loathsome one,
who had no thoughts beyond the
moment's glory.
But is the glory of a new day,
set aside for him, you say?
It is for the grasp that reaches most,
it is the most angelic host.
So, be off young maiden,
your new day is yet to be,
and time and host and undisciplined
love, will grab you up I fear,
But a new day, a new birth,
will soon appear!
