Chapter 10

Just as Brian had predicted, Jenn and AJ were all over each other in the backseat of Nick's green Durango.
"Hey stop it before I throw-up!" said Brian as he and I sat in the middle seats. Nick drove and Erika sat in the passengers seat.
"What?" asked AJ breathing heavily. I figured they must have been making out for a good 10 minutes.
"Hi!" I said waving to Jenn. "I'm Kaitlyn," I said extending my hand for her to shake. She shook my hand.
"Hey, I'm Jenn. I feel like I already know you from how much Brian here talks about you!" she said playfully hitting Brian's arm. I looked at Brian and he smiled at me.
"Oh really? What does he say about me?"
"Just how much he wants to-"
"That's enough of that!" said Brian hitting Jenn in the arm to make her shut up. "You need to stop trying to get me in trouble!" he said joking with her.
"Oh fine!" she said and leaned back in her seat. AJ looked around from person to person. He was obviously confused. I really didn't understand either. AJ just shrugged his shoulders and went back to kissing Jenn.
"You'll have to ignore them. Their what you would call the 'hands on' type," Brian said laughing.
"I'd say so!" I said laughing, too.
"We're here!!!" yelled Nick from the front seat.
"Where is here?" I asked looking out the window.
"At Millenium. This is the coolest night club ever! You'll love it!" said Brian taking my hand.
"One problem...don't you have to be 21 to get into places like this? I'm only 20 and Erika is only 18."
"Yeah, and Nick's only 19! It's not a problem...we can get you in! These people would eat our shit if given the chance!" I laughed so hard at that. He took my hand and helped me out of the car while I was still laughing. He then put his arm around me and we walked up to the club.

We got inside without a problem. I was really releived. When we walked inside, "Too Close" by Next was blaring over the speakers.
"I love this song!" I said to Brian.
"Me too! Let's dance!" he said wrapping his arms around me. I felt like I was going to faint in his arms. I just got this really incredible feeling whenever he touched me anywhere that I had never felt before. It felt so good to be in his arms, but at the same time, I couldn't help but notice all the people staring at us and giving me dirty looks. Sometimes girls that I thought were 20 times prettier then me would come up and ask to cut-in. Brian would never let them.
"Brian, it's really okay. If you want to dance with her, it's okay with me," I would tell him.
"No, I want to dance with you, and only you," was always his reply. I smiled widely when he would say it. That whole night I think we sat down maybe once. The night went by way to fast. As we were dancing to "Have You Ever?" by Brandy I looked down at my watch.
"Shit Brian," I said pulling away from him but with his hands still on my hips and mine still around his neck. "It's already 12:30...Erika and I have to be back at my uncle's house in a half an hour."
"Oh man! For real? That sucks!" he said leaning his head on my shoulder.
"I know. I'm sorry, Bri."
"It's alright. You just gotta promise me that we'll do something tomorrow night, again. Okay?" he said lifting his head off my shoulder and looking into my eyes.
"I'll try!"
"Promise me!"
"I promise you, Mr. Littrell, I'll go out with you again tomorrow night."
"That's better! Let's go find everyone else," he said taking my hand and leading me through a crowd of people. Nick and Erika were easy to find. They were sitting at a table near the back. AJ and Jenn took a little more time, though. We couldn't find them anywhere!
"I'll stay here. You take them home, then come back and pick us up, alright?" said Nick. He wanted to be able to take Erika out again, too. He didn't want my uncle to get mad at us.
"Alright. See ya, Nick!" said Brian taking my hand.
"Goodnight Erika!" said Nick leaning down to kiss her. I could tell she almost started freaking out, but she kissed him back.
"Awww!" Brian and I said in unison, totally ruining the moment. Nick and Erika broke apart laughing. We laughed with them. "Come on, Erika! We gotta go!" I said.
"I'm coming! Goodnight Nicky!" she said kissing him again. When she pulled away they smiled at each other then Erika turned around and walked towards us.
"Let's go!" she said leading the way out the door. Brian and I followed her.

When we got back to my uncle's house, Erika ran inside, knowing to leave Brian and I alone. Brian walked me up to the house.
"I had fun," I said as we stopped in front of the door holding hands.
"Me too. I'll call you tomorrow, okay?"
"You'd better!"
"I will!" he said smiling at me. "I'd better go, you know. I gotta pick up Nick, AJ, and Jenn, still."
"Yeah...Thank you, Brian."
"You're welcome," he said as he leaned down to kiss me. Oh my God! I will never forget that feeling when he REALLY kissed me. His mouth tasted so good, I never wanted that kiss to end. He pulled away from me and I could tell he enjoyed that kiss just as much as I did by the wide grin on his face.
"See ya tomorrow," he said kissing my hand, then he turned and jumped back into Nick's Durango to go back to the club. I turned towards the door and walked inside in a complete daze. I shut the door and leaned up against it, sighing.
"So I take it the date went good?" asked my uncle coming towards me from his office.
"Yeah," I said still in a daze.
"Well that's good. I'm going to bed now...don't forget to turn off the lights," he said heading upstairs.
"I won't." I peeled myself away from the door and turned off the light, then turned and walked up the stairs. I walked into my room and threw myself on my bed, face down.
"Hey there, Kaitlyn," said Erika walking into my room. She had already changed into her pajamas.
"Hi," I said. I couldn't think of anything but Brian and I kept touching my lips where he had just kissed me.
"You really like Brian, don't you?" she asked.
"Yeah. More then you know."
"So you're never going to doubt me again, right?"
"Never. Thank you, Erika."
"For what?"
"If it weren't for you I never would have followed his car, I never would have gotten in a fight with him, I never would have gone over to his apartment, I never would have gone out with him, and I never would have found another guy who made me feel so good."
"Well you're welcome, then! Get your pajamas on, girl! You don't want to have bags under your eyes when you go out with him again tomorrow."
"Your right! Goodnight, Erika."
"Goodnight, Kaitlyn! Sweet dreams of Brian!" she said laughing. I laughed and shook my head then pulled myself up and to my dresser to get changed.

***Next morning***

I woke up the next morning at about 10:00, mainly because my uncle came in and told me that he had to go to Tampa for the day on business, but also because I couldn't sleep anymore. I was in the bathroom brushing my hair when the phone rang. I ran to answer it, but Erika still got to it first.
"Erika!!! Who is it?" I yelled from my room.
"It's your boyfriend!" she said coming into my room and tapping the cordless on her shoulder.
"Shut up and give me the phone!" I said grabbing the phone out of her hand. "Hey Brian!" I said happily into the phone.
"Hey! How are you?" he asked sleepily.
"Good! How are you?"
"Tired! I just had to talk to you again."
"Awww...that's sweet! So what's up?"
"Nothin," he said yawning.
"Cool. What are you doing today?"
"Nothin. Wanna come over?"
"Sure! When should I be there?"
"Whenever you want to! Just give me like 15 minutes to get ready, okay?"
"Yeah! See ya then, Bri!"
"Okay, bye." I hung up the phone and walked back into the bathroom. I wore a pair of flair jeans with a white shirt that showed my toned stomach and my white and blue adidas. I brushed my hair back and put one butterfly clip in it holding up some of my hair.
"So...how do I look?" I asked walking into Erika's room.
"Whoa! Finally decided to take my advice and show a little skin, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess! Now how do I look?" I asked again.
"You look great! Just make sure that Brian doesn't get any drool on those shoes since they're mine!"
"Oh yeah! Can I borrow these?"
"Yeah, go ahead!"
"Thanks! Alright, I'm leaving! Your sure I look okay? I mean, I've never worn a shirt like this in my life!"
"You look fine! Now go so I can go back to sleep!"
"I'm goin, I'm goin!" I said walking out of her room and down the stairs. I grabbed a banana off the counter and headed outside to the Eclipse. I dug out my sunglasses and rolled the top back, then sped off down the street to Brian's apartment.
