(John D. Sarnighausen +) The older citizens of Göttingen will still remember D. Sarnighausen, the former pastor at St. Albani's Church, about whom rumors were spread and who finally had to flee. He went to America and in the state of Indiana established a newspaper, which to this day is published under the name of Indiana Staatszeitung (State of Indiana News). Sarnighausen died last month a highly respected man, which can be seen from the following notice in a Chicago newspaper:Fort Wayne, Ind. Nov. 8: John D. We was widely known and was a member of the Indiana State legislature representing the democratic party. He was the publisher of the named newspaper for forty years.
