3/12 Saturday‘s Distance Race:
8am-9:00am Registration $40
9:00am Skippers meeting for Distance Race
9:30 am white Flag (ten minutes to start)
5:30 pm. Trophy Presentation
6:00 pm. Food and Live Music
The Distance Race:
Lemans/Beach Start Line: located one mile north of Delray Water Sports . The horn will blow and away we go sailing east to an orange barrel-shaped buoy about a 1/4 mile directly offshore. Round this mark to port, then head north to the Singer Island channel mark, round this mark to______ and return to Delray Beach between the beach and the start mark.
Start Sequence: approx. 9:30 am.

10 min. to start, white flag up + horn, then drops at 6 min. to start.·
5 min. to start, blue flag up, then drops at 1 min to start.·
0 min. red flag up + horn, START! We''ll probably add: "On your mark, get set, GO!"Course: Sail north 21 miles to a large orange buoy in the Singer Island channel round this to ?. Then sail back south finishing through the start line, where you‘ll hear a horn blast when you cross the line. Stay out of the public swimming areas on Delray Beach, (the first and last mile, from the beach to 200 yards offshore), if you hear a life guard's whistle, you're too close to the beach. All of the other rules of racing apply. If you help vessel in danger, keep track of your time and it will be subtracted from your elapsed time. Please have all safety gear on board including life vests and a whistle. If a male on board dresses in drag, or a female sails topless, time will be deducted. Please call the race committee phone # written on your forearm if you don't finish for whatever reason. Good Luck and Have Fun!

10 am.: First race
Launching:
Launch at the beach driveway adjacent to Delray Water Sports; they will assist sailors using an ATV to tow boats and trailers in the sand. Please launch early and get out of the driveway quickly. Park trailers in the sand on the north side of the beach entrance driveway, (free).
Parking:
Vehicle parking is on and across A1A in the public parking lot., bring quarters.
1.Fill your parking meter with quarters, $3 for 4hrs,(8:30 am- 12: 30.) write down your meter #.
2.At the registration desk pay $3, write your name, meter #, car type on form.
3. Put bright parking receipt, provided at registration, on your dashboard.
4. At 12:30 our helper will put $3 in your meter, and hopefully you’ll finish by 4:30pm.
