The following vision was forwarded to me by Hollie L. Moody. I have numbered the paragraphs for easy reference. I believe this is an important vision of events soon to come. It helps us put some of the puzzle pieces of scripture together to form a clearer picture of the order of events to come. My interpretations follow:

1
The Lord showed me His hands holding a book. His left hand was holding the book, and His right hand was slowly turning the pages. As I watched the pages turning, it appeared to me that the book was divided into chapters.

2
Eventually, as one page was turned, I saw that it was the last page of a chapter. It appeared to be the next to the last chapter in this book. When this last page of the chapter was turned, the hands paused. I became aware of a very intense silence. It was the sort of a silence that precedes a momentous event.

3
I began to look around to see what was possibly going to occur. I saw four large angels in the sky. They were standing in a position as of a large square. Each angel was holding out their arms, as if they were blocking something or someone.

4
Behind the two angels on the right, I saw other large angelic beings, but I somehow sensed that these were demonic angels. The demonic beings were holding what appeared to be a large rolled up scroll. This scroll looked like a very dark carpet, rolled up. I saw that the demonic beings wanted to unroll this dark scroll over the earth, but the four angels were preventing them from doing so.

5
Then, I saw myself up above the earth. I was looking down, and I saw small points of light here and there upon the earth. They looked like small flames. As I watched, the small lights began to come together and form larger pools of light.

6
After this occurred, the four angels stepped aside and came together. When they did this, the demonic beings holding the dark rolled up scroll, dropped the scroll. The scroll began to unwind and spread over the face of the whole earth. A darkness and a dimness began to spread over the earth. When this happened, I felt a smothering sensation come over me.

7
The four angels lifted up into the sky. I watched them, and saw as they disappeared from my sight. As I continued to stare upwards into the sky, it was as if the heavens opened up. I saw as groups of angels began to step through this opening in the sky.

8
One group of angels had trumpets in their hands. Another group of angels held bowls in both their hands. I also saw the Lord, and He was holding the same book in His hands as I had seen at the beginning of this vision. (When I say I "saw" the Lord, more than actually "seeing" Him with my physical eyes, it was more like I "knew" in my spirit that it was the Lord.)

9
The Lord stepped to the forefront of the groups of angels holding the trumpets and bowls. He opened the book back up to where He had left off with the last chapter (where the silence had fallen). Once again, He began to turn the pages of the book. I saw that almost all the pages had already been turned.

10
The Lord and the angels were gazing soberly at the earth. I looked to see what they were staring at. It was like my sight narrowed down to one point on the earth. I somehow knew that I was gazing at Jerusalem.

11
There were armies gathered all around Jerusalem, and also completely surrounding the whole nation of Israel. I could see further out across the seas and the land and the skies, and saw that more military forces were headed towards Israel.

12
There was intense fighting going on within Jerusalem. Smaller battles, but just as fierce, were also taking place in other sections of Israel.

13
Then, I felt a trembling in the ground. I watched as Jerusalem began to shake. The ground began to split open. I felt that this was an earthquake that I was witnessing. The city began to fall into sections.

14
I then heard and felt a tremendous blast coming from within Jerusalem. The effects from this blast spread outwards over all of Israel, and out to the seas, lands and skies. I watched as huge tidal waves formed and the ships in the seas capsized. Airplanes fell from the sky. The armies on land that were converging on Israel, seemed to just disintegrate.

15
At the same moment, the Lord gave a great shout. I turned and saw that there were warring angels that had appeared around the Lord and around the angels holding the trumpets and the bowls.

16
At a command from the Lord, these warring angels gave a great shout, and hurtled down towards Israel, and began to do battle on Israel's behalf. The Lord did not join in this battle. Those which remained of those who had come against Israel, were driven backwards and fled. Israel was saved, yet it was a devastated shambles.

17
After this happened, the scroll that the demonic beings had been rolling out over the whole earth, was completely unrolled. The earth had a dim appearance. There were still small flames and groups of flames burning at spots on the earth (I felt these were saints and churches), but it was as if the flames had been somehow subdued.

18
Then, I felt a trembling under my feet, and watched as a temple began to emerge from the ground. This new temple was situated upon a hill. It was so awesome, and majestic appearing, as to be almost indescribable.

The first observation I make is that in #16, the Lord did not join the angels in the battle. We are NOT looking at Zechariah 14 here, for in verse 3 of chapter 14, "Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives." Since the Lord does not go forth, as He clearly does in the Armageddon battle pictured through the words of Zechariah, this cannot be the final battle for Jerusalem. This is a preliminary battle.

The second observation I make is that we ARE looking at Isaiah 60. #5 speaks of small points of light which came together and formed larger lights. This is verse 1 of Isaiah 60: "Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee." #6 then says that following the appearance of these lights, demonic beings unwind a scroll of darkness upon the earth. This corresponds with verse 2 of Isaiah 60: "For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. These demonic beings are held back by four angels. These are the restraining force of 2 Thessalonians 2:7. There are angels holding back the darkness from covering the whole earth. These are removed, and it falls upon everyone and everything.

After making these two observations, I will now review the vision in order, as it was given. It appears to have an internal chronology about it, with the turning of pages and a seeming order or layout to the presentation.

#1 through #4 talk about a book. The Lord was turning pages. We have reached the final chapter and then....silence. The most conspicous silence we have in scripture is Revelation 8:1, which portrays the opening of the seventh seal, which the vision places as still being future. I believe there is considerable evidence that seals 1 through 5 are open right now. We are waiting for the sixth. This vision speaks of a great earthquake in #13, which I take to be this sixth seal earthquake of Rev. 6:12-13.

#5 speaks of lights, as we have already discussed. This corresponds with Revelation 8:5 as the baptism of fire is hurled to the earth by the angels.

#6 speaks of deep darkness, which will cover the earth, as we have already discussed. Isaiah says it follows the light, as this vision portrays it.

#7 through #9 now show us angels, holding trumpets and bowls. Rev 8:6 is in view. These angels are not blowing these trumpets or pouring these bowls yet, however.

Now comes #10-#16, which is a surprise to most eschatolgy students, but not to me. There has to be a war in Jerusalem to set the stage for the final war. Currently, the stage is not set.

#10 through #16 speaks of a great, destructive battle for Jerusalem. The Lord gave a word to me about 2 1/2 months ago, entitled "Nothing Has Changed", that Israel was going to be attacked again by Syria and Jordan, with other allies. The Palestinians would be at their back. the scripture I was given was Isaiah 9:12-14.

"The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of Hosts. Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day."

I was assured by the Lord that this will not be the final attack against Jerusalem. This will not be Gog/Magog or Armageddon. If Israel does not turn to the Lord, they will go into captivity again, for a season. I was told that it would Ezekiel 38:8...that Israel would be put in a position of being under the sword, and then the Lord will bring Israel back from the sword at some future date so that the rest of Ezekiel 38 and 39 will then be fulfilled.

I believe this Isaiah 9 battle is what Hollie was seeing. It is preliminary to Gog/Magog and Armageddon, which I take to be the same battle, just as Ervin Baxter presents it in his prophecy study series "Understanding The End Times".

#17-#18 show us the glory filled bride, rising from the earth. The restored tabernacle of David.

#17 and #18 show the darkness covering the whole earth with dimmed lights. All of a sudden, a new temple emerges from the ground, or earth. In scripture, things coming out of the ground or earth is symbolic of peoples. This picture is the restoration of the tabernacle of David. Just as the new Jerusalem comes down out of heaven, this first temple rises from the earth. The glory of God will be seen on the earth, as Jesus comes IN His church before He comes for it.

To summarize, there is a chronology given here in this vision
1) Silence in heaven
2) Light arises upon the saints in glory
3) Deep darkness covers the whole earth
4) The angels holding their trumpets and bowls take their positions and prepare to act.
5) There is a preparatory war in Israel, where Israel is almost totally destroyed.
6) There is a great earthquake and explosion in Jerusalem.
7) The restored tabernacle of David is seen arising from the earth.

This, then, appears to be a parenthetical vision, filling in certain gaps in the chronology of Revelation 8 and showing us just exactly where Isaiah 60 fits into this chronology and how Ezekiel 38:8 is prepared for fulfillment. It is a vision that fits the scriptures together so that some order may be seen.

One may then conclude that just after the events shown in this vision, the angels begin to sound their trumpets. At this point, the church begins to look up, for her redeemer draweth nigh.

For those of you who are Ervin Baxter devotee's out there, I love Ervin and his scholarship, but I just cannot accept that the trumpets have blown at this time. I receive this vision, with it's still future trumpets, as being from the Lord.

Ervin argues that Chernoble, which is "wormwood" in English, was the blowing of the third trumpet. He also argues that Saddam Hussein and the Gulf War was the fifth trumpet, because the name Saddam, means "destroyer", or "Apollyon" or "Abadon".

I take these events for signs that remind us that the real thing is nigh upon us. To me, these signs are like the 24 comet impacts on Jupiter a few years ago. Those comet impacts proved to the world that the second trumpet could really happen: a mountain could really fall into the sea.

So........this vision does not rock my theology. It fits with what the Lord has shown me. If it is from the Lord, and I believe it is, we must be getting very close to the war in Israel, since I believe we have just seen the first wave of light, followed by darkness. We expect another wave of light and darkness in the spring.

I feel in my spirit that I may revisit this vision in the future as the Lord gives me more light about certain parts of it. I invite each of you to take it, piece by piece, before the Lord and see if the Lord will shine some light on it for you. Please share it with us when He gives it to you.
