TODAY'S WORD For the second time this month, the Holy Spirit has given me a day to keep in prayer. May 24, 2003. The previous time was May 4 through 7, which was later marked by terribly destructive tornados and great hail. Yesterday morning, May 16, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to May 24, without giving me any reason or cause for attention to be placed there. I was having some sort of vague dream associated with it just prior to waking. I have been praying about it, asking what might be indicated, without getting any answer from the Holy Spirit. The concern did not lift after much time spent in prayer regarding that date. After praying, I have made these discoveries: On May 13, the open star cluster “Pleiades” or “The Seven Stars”, entered the view field of the SOHO, Lasco 3 solar camera in the top left of the view field at about the 10 oclock position. There was some excitement initially on the discussion boards as the astronomical neophytes did not recognize it, and thought it to be some sinister invader into the near cosmos. The “Seven Stars” are mentioned in Amos 5:8, in connection with a scripture that was previously given to me with reference to the asteroid/tsunami prophecy. Some of you will no doubt recall the picture of the three stars of Orion’s belt that was photographed from the International Space Station last month. The photograph was taken through the edge of Earth’s atmosphere, which made the three stars to appear as three little comets. In that scripture, the idea that God pours the waters of the sea out upon the face of the Earth is discussed. I am also drawn to look at Amos 5:24-“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” What does it mean for me? Questions, and more questions! So, after discovering these facts, and noticing these things that “registered” in my spirit, I looked around the internet, and my dictionaries and encyclopedias. I didn’t find anything that really interested me all that much. There was one little historical tidbit that caught my attention and merited a reading: fifty years ago marked the final turn in the Korean conflict, on May 24, 1953, as the North Koreans and the Chinese were put into retreat out of South Korea, back North of the 38th parallel. The armistice followed on July 17, 1953. I was just about ready to give up this quest without making any mention of it, when I made this little discovery, which prompted me to share this exercise with this group: The month “May” derives it’s name from “Maia”. Maia is the brightest star of the “Pleiades”, or “The Seven Stars”. And so, there I was, full circle, back to Amos 5:8 and its discussion of the Pleides and their CREATOR. Then, I went back to look at the SOHO Lasco 3 pictures. At the present rate of cosmic drift, which is probably a combination of the movements of the telescope, the Sun and the Pleiades, the “Pleiades” will apparently drift behind the Sun, as it is viewed from SOHO, on May 24, 2003. What does that mean? I have no idea. Now, that is all I know. BUT, I have not had the Holy Spirit put a date before me like this for a very long time. What I do know is that the constellation "Pleiades" will go into hiding on May 24, and that takes me right back to Amos, chapter 5, and to my concerns over May 24, 2003. Very simply-The Holy Spirit is highlighting May 24, 2003 to me, and has connected it with Amos 5:8 and Amos 5:24. That much I am certain about. What it means I have no certainty about. There are five possible connections in these areas where I recommend intercession: 1) The prophecies regaring an asteroid/tsunami that would inundate the Eastern coast of the United States. 2) The North Korean situation. This might simply be a prompting by the Holy Spirit to get me and others to pray in these two important areas that could affect millions of lives. 3) The "Roadmap" to Peace in Israel. Pray that our government does not apply pressure on Israel to give away land that belongs to God. 4) Earthquakes and the many prophecies regarding them. 5) Terrorist attacks, with special emphasis on attacks against passenger airliners by Stinger missile. As usual, when it comes to a date given by the Holy Spirit, I have more questions than answers. More later hopefully if something begins to make sense. Finally, just in case anyone misunderstood, I am not prophesying any event or occurrence for May 24, 2003. I have no idea what may or may not happen on that date, other than that I will be in a heightened time of alert and prayer until that date. If that changes, I will let everyone know about it. With regard to what I presented earlier regarding the constellation "Pleiades", I feel that I should present some basic astronomical information. Every year in May marks the solar conjunction for the Pleiades. This means that the Sun moves in between the Earth and the Pleiades. Hence, the name of it’s brightest star: Maia. I just wanted to let everyone know this, so that this normal, annual event might not be inferred as being something unusual. The thing that is new is that now, we can mark the actual days of conjunction with the SOHO Lasco 3 telescope, and we can watch on the internet as the constellation, day by day, moves nearer to the Sun and then travels behind it. Then, on Saturday morning, May 17th I received further light from the Lord, with reference to May 24th. This led me to post this subject as an article. Obviously, the decision by President Bush to freeze $10 Billion in loans to Israel represents AN APPLICATION OF PRESSURE UPON ISRAEL. This means that God will now apply pressure against the United States! I do not know of a direct connection between the action of our President, and my concerns over May 24th, but I suspect there is a relationship, since the Holy Spirit quickened me to pray about this day on May 16th, and later in that same day, our President took the reported action. I have already written my letter to the President (copy attached at the end of this article), stating my position with respect to these issues, and I urge all God fearing people to do the same. Further: This morning, these scriptures were quickened to me and to others during a prayer meeting: Amos 5:21-24 “I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them; neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” 1 Samuel 15:22-Given to Maruja Sierra “And Samuel Said, Hath the Lord as great delight in Burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” Isaiah 1:16-Given to Mari Carrero “Wash you, make you clan; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.” Then later, as I wrote my letter to President Bush, the Lord quickened this scripture to me: Ezekiel 9:4 “And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.” One thing that I am certain about is that mere religious activity is not going to do anything. Singing and praising won’t change a thing now. We must really come before the Lord in humble repentance and sorrow for our own sins. If we cannot even rend our hearts over our own sinful condition, how are we ever going to be found with honest tears in our eyes over the actions of our nation? I recommend that this period from May 17 through May 24 should be set aside by prophets and intercessors and servants of the Lord as a time to SINCERELY REPENT over any lingering personal issues, so that we can properly position ourselves before the Lord our God and BE HEARD ON HIGH. Then, make intercession for our nation, confessing the sins of our nation as Daniel did. Perhaps, as Michael Boldea Jr. has just brought forth in his word on May 5, God may still grant more time if His people will humble themselves, seek His face, turn from their wicked ways and pray. In any event, whether events have been set or not, and whether great judgments are set in stone or not, let us be found to be sighing and crying over these events, and over our sins and the sins of our people, so that our Lord will mark us and our families. Bening, do hereby present my desire as a citizen of the State of Florida, in the United States of America. I am hereby informing my duly elected government that not all Americans agree with the State Department and their plans for peace in the Middle East. I do not agree with the present position that my government is advancing with respect to Israel and it’s territory. I and many other Americans, and most particularly Christian Americans, do not agree with these positions. Regarding Israel: the land is not to be divided or partitioned by men. God has seen fit to supernaturally return the Jews to their native land in 1948, and to allow the rebirth of national Israel. Furthermore, God has seen fit through divine providence to return the West Bank area of Judea, and the city of Jerusalem to the possession of the Jewish people in 1967. This was accomplished with divine assistance against long odds and vastly superior military forces in terms of troop strength Leviticus 25:23 reads as follows: “The land (referring to Israel) shall not be sold forever: for THE LAND IS MINE. For ye are strangers and sojourners with me.” I firmly and solemnly believe that these scriptures apply to our time, and that any man or nation who seeks to remove any of these territories from the possession of Israel will find that God will fight against that man or that nation. The Land of Israel/Jerusalem should not be taken away from Israel; American and State tax dollars should not be given to Palestine to fund their terrorism. I urge you, in fear of Almighty God, to please unfreeze the $10 billion in loan guarantees to Israel, and do not demand that Israel accept the Road Map which is against God's will and purpose. Do not fight against God on this issue! The nations that bless Israel will be blessed and those that curse Israel will be cursed. This land is not to be divided; this is not in God's perfect will. I urge you, Mr. President: apply no pressure to Israel to give up sovereignty over any territory. This action will result in tragic consequences for our nation. We must not have anything to do with this! Our God is 'marking' those and their families who are standing on His Holy Scriptures/Bible and those who are not. You would do well to heed this warning. I am of the understanding that you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that you have a Godly fear for His word, reading from it daily. Allow His word to pierce your heart on this issue! When He states woe to that nation, it means that “righteous judgments” will come to that nation. This includes the nation of America. Ezekiel 47 - "...according to which you shall divide the land for inheritance to the twelve tribes of Israel [Judah/Jews]; Joseph shall have two portions. And you shall inherit it, one as well as another; concerning which I raised my hand to give it to your fathers; and this land shall fall to you for inheritance." But Judah shall remain for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation... And the Lord dwells in Zion." (Joel 4:18-21) Respectfully, Stephen L.
