Dear WPA and Others:

I'm writing today at the encouragement of my pastor, who, over the last several days has said two things to me that resonate. He told me: "write it down" several days ago. Then, this morning, he reminded me that "we prophecy in part". Sometimes, I tend to think that I don't have very much when I just have a few pieces. Encouragement is good when it gets me moving.

I have been walking and serving as a prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ for a little bit more than nine years. During that time, I have consistently related a very Jeremiah like message to America. God has shown me visions and has given me many words of warning to my nation. Serious judgement and much trouble are coming to my land. Nuclear destruction is coming to my land.

When I began my ministry, there were not many voices saying these things. Near the end of the last century, there were many, many voices saying that the end of civilization as we know it, was close at hand and imminent.

Today, in mid 2001, Y2K has passed without even a whimper. Computers are still working. Israel has not gone to war as many had predicted. Nuclear missiles have not flown against American cities. The American economy has not crashed. Droughts have come and gone. Floods have come and gone. Hurricanes and tornados and earthquakes have come and gone. Our country seems to be moving right along, nicely, into the 21st century, without giving much heed to God.

Now, many formerly bold prophetic voices are beginning to say that God has given America space. They say that the judgements against America are no longer imminent, and that America will have revival. Some say it is because many Christians heeded the Y2K and judgement messages and repented, prayed and asked God for mercy.

So, I have been inquiring of the Lord. I would like to know: How Much Space?

I will say, first of all, that Jeremiah never changed his message, and neither will I. America is going to have it's own, personal tribulation. America is judged. There has been no national repentance. Wickedness is increasing. And yet, God has given space. God wants all men to repent and turn to him. America as a nation has not and will not do so prior to the falling of the bombs and the burning of the fires in American cities. There will be no massive revival prior to this time that will sweep in the unsaved and lost by the millions in this nation. That is what I think, and not the Lord. If He brings such an unexpected, yet hoped for revival, I'll be first in line to give him many thanks.

As I inquired of the Lord regarding the notion of "How Much Space" the Lord has given us, I was led of the Lord to spend all day Saturday studying in Jeremiah. This much the Lord revealed to me.

Jeremiah proclaimed a message of the total destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians for 20 years. Then the Babylonians came, kidnapped the King, ransacked the temple and departed. Jeremiah looked like a false prophet......partially.

10 years went by, and the Babylonians came again to Jerusalem. They laid siege against the city walls, but then retreated when Egypt sent her armies out toward Jerusalem. Jeremiah looked like a false prophet....totally.

Next, a false prophet named Hananiah boldly confronted Jeremiah, calling Jeremiah a false prophet. Jeremiah said he would die within the year, and so he did. But Hananiah's grandson had Jeremiah arrested. That was in year 32 of Jeremiah's ministry.

There, Jeremiah languished in prison for 5 or 6 years, regarded as a false prophet by almost everyone. Twice the Babylonians had come against Jerusalem, and twice, they had departed. Jerusalem was still standing, and growing more bold in it's sin by the day.

Then, in year 38, the Babylonians came again to Jerusalem for the third time, and laid siege to it. Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought out of the prison, and asked him for a word. The word of the Lord through Jeremiah was just the same as it had been 38 years earlier to a prior king of Judah. Zedekiah warned him not to tell anybody else, and released him into the prison court.

Jeremiah proceeded to speak his message out loud to the people, and the princes had him thrown into the miry septic tank. Zedekiah had him lifted out, and there he remained until a short time later, in Jeremiah's 40th year of ministry, the Babylonians breached the walls and destroyed the temple of the Lord.

What do I think about this? God does not shrink from making his true prophets appear to be false ones in the eyes of people whom he has judged. God is giving chances, many chances, to people who will be subjected to terrible judgements. No one will be able to stand before God, having been killed in these judgements, and say that they had no chance to repent. God has given space.

In Jeremiah's day, when God gave space, he gave 10 years of time.....twice. Will He give America 10 years of space. No one knows. Jeremiah did not know how much space God had granted either time. When the Babylonians departed in his twentieth year, he must have scratched his head. When they departed in his thirtieth year, he wondered aloud to God. At some point, he likened God to a mountain stream.....sometimes at flood stage...and sometimes dry as a bone.....and God did not like the analogy at all. And yet, Jeremiah never changed his message.

During those "many days" that Jeremiah languished in the prison house, after his thirtieth year, there was not much chance to prophecy. There were not many opportunities for prophetic ministry until the reappearance of the Babylonians in his thirty eighth year. How did he occupy his time? I suppose he prayed, and worshipped the Lord his God.

We should do the same. Americans are not open to the prophetic message just now. The lost and unsaved, as well as the blind church, think that God has winked. America will skate by just fine, or so they wrongfully believe. God will not be mocked. And yet, almost no one is listening to the true prophetic message. No one has ears to hear today that America is scheduled for a date with the Lord God. Americans will laugh to scorn any prophet who tells of submarines launching their missiles against our cities.....yet....it will happen. We prophets are, as it were, held in a confinement place, by the deafness of our countrymen. It will continue until events in the natural realm begin to suggest, once again, that great trouble is imminent. It will be just as it was in the days of Jeremiah. As it once was, so shall it be again.

What shall we prophets do in our prison? We shall worship the Lord our God, and praise His name. We shall continue to pray from our cells. We shall do the work of evangelists, and make disciples. We shall train and equip for ministry those who are drawn near to us by the Holy Spirit. We shall wait for the Lord our God, and for His terrible army of judgement. We shall not change the tenor of our message one iota!

They rush on the city, they rush on the walls, great is the army, that carries out His word. The Lord utters His voice, before His army. Blow a trumpet in Zion. Sound the alarm on my holy mountain. Blow a trumpet in Zion, Zion, sound the alarm!
