TODAY'S WORD
Joel 2:
12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

This scripture was quickened to me by the Holy Spirit this morning. The portions in bold were particularly emphasized by the Holy Spirit to me. I was given other scripture as well, which I will enter into later in this article.

I am as Joel: who knoweth? As we enter into this season of fasting, weeping and mourning corporately, who knoweth? We will come and bow before our Lord, with nothing at all to say�.nothing to plead for�.no case to make.

God has not had much to say to me recently. I have a sense in my spirit that I have become as my friend Bob Neumann. Bob has not written since May, 2003. When I have asked as to the reason, Bob has simply said that God is not speaking to him, because, he believes, there is nothing more to say. God has said it all, and now, we are in the intervening time of waiting upon the Lord. At some point, very soon now, that time will end, and THE SEVEN YEAR AMERICAN TRIBULATION PERIOD will begin.

That time will be a time that is almost beyond the capacity of the mind to fathom. It begins with attacks of terrorism, that will make the 911 events in New York seem as a minor annoyance by comparison. It escalates into attacks on our aircraft carriers and ships with conventional and nuclear weapons. Then, our nation will suffer from incredible natural disasters: asteroid induced floods and tidal waves, land sinking earthquakes in the heartland and in the west, and erupting volcanoes. Then we will endure military invasion, nuclear attacks and occupation on our own soil.

Is there any doubt that as these events begin to occur, those believers who survive will be fasting and mourning before the Lord?

As I ponder this call to fasting and prayer, it is different from any other I have contemplated. In the past, when I began to consider the commencement of such a journey into fasting, I always had an objective: something that I wanted to obtain from the Lord. I wanted knowledge, or I wanted healing, or I wanted deliverance for my family members, or I wanted spiritual advancement. Also too, I was of a mind to do a lot of praise and worship and rejoicing. This is different.

This time, I am empty of words. I have nothing to say of a particular nature to the Lord. I am filled with this awesome dread, and a spiritual understanding that I wish I did not have, that God�s mercy is perfect, complete and entire with respect to our nation, and that we will have no further �extensions of time�. I cannot in good conscience plead for any more time based upon any form of argument that I may construct in my mind.

Ezekiel 7

There will be no rapture from this American tribulation. No, no pretrib, or midtrib, or posttrib rapture: none whatsoever. When it comes, and the full force of the effect of it all is felt and endured, I have no doubt that ALL who survive, who are believers, will be in the mood and frame of mind to fast, and to weep, and to mourn.

The churches�.99% of them will have no part in this. I will not even ask. They do not have ears to hear. The pastors and their congregants are united in their blissful, sleepy ignorance, and no one can wake them. The Lord has given them up. They are preaching to each other that they will be raptured out before the trouble hits. As with my brother Bob Neumann, the Lord has taken away my bell, and my trumpet. I have no more words for them any more. I sit astonished, in silence, as I see what is rushing toward us.

So, is it not highly appropriate, even peculiarly so, for those of us who dwell in the valley of vision to behave this way, ahead of the temporal occurrence of these things? Shall we not retire to our own personal mountains: to fast, and to mourn as doves of the valleys? I am very weak and feeble now. How is it with you?

I believe those of us at Watchmen Prophets Assembly have received a corporate call to a SOLEMN ASSEMBLY, between now and December 22. Brother Joseph has perceived that call for the 9th and the 11th. I will unite in the fasting and mourning of those two days. I will add a third: the 17th.

My advice and counsel for the 18 days from today, December 5 through and including December 22 is that all of us should walk before the Lord SOFTLY.

1 Kings 21
27 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.
28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
29 Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son�s days will I bring the evil upon his house.

Ahab had no confidence of any relief or any relenting on the part of the Lord. Ahab was a very wicked man, and yet, there was something in his �going softly� that moved God�s heart to relent. Likewise, we have no confidence of the receipt of anything. Yet, who knoweth?

As I go before the Lord, I intend to go as Daniel went, and with no higher bearing or attitude than an Ahab. I am going to present myself as one of the sinners; one of the vile ones; one of the participants in the wickedness of my land. I am going to mourn for my sins and the sins of my people.

If you are like minded, and so led of the Spirit Of God, I invite you to unite with us, the members of the apostolic and prophetic company at Watchmen Prophets Assembly, in three days of fasting and mourning before the Lord: December 9th, 11th, and the 17th, of the year of our Lord 2003.
