Pari-Mutuel Permitholders: Revises provisions for permits to conduct quarter
horse race meetings; removes requirements for licensing; removes provisions for
application of specified provisions to quarter horse racing; revises
authorization to substitute races of other breeds of horses; removes
prohibition against transfer or conversion of quarter horse permit; removes
restriction on intertrack wagering; provides for transfer of quarter horse
racing permit to not-for-profit corporation for certain purposes; provides
requirements for a quarter horse racing permitholder to be eligible to conduct
intertrack wagering or to operate a cardroom; revises license fee & tax
rate for slot machine licensees; provides for minimum tax revenue from operation
of slot machines; permits cardroom operators to operate 24 hours day; permits
charity tournaments under certain conditions. Effective Date: July 1, 2009,
except that the amendments to section 551.106, Florida Statutes, made by this
act shall take effect only upon the date that the Legislature ratifies an
Indian gaming compact between the State and the Seminole Tribe of Florida and
is approved or deemed approved by the Secretary of the United States Department
of the Interior as evidenced by publication of the executed compact in the
Federal Register

live performances that a greyhound permitholder must conduct in order to renew
