Reports were given to the Board by the local association presidents in attendance. General discussion was held as to the state of affairs around the State.

Plans for the 27th Annual Meeting of the Florida Greyhound Association were announced. Immediate Past NGA President Dutch Koerner will be the honoree at the affair to be held May 19 and 20, 2001 in Hollywood, Florida. The meeting will be held on Sunday, May 20 at the Holiday Inn, 2925 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, Florida.

On Saturday evening, May 19, the South Florida Greyhound Association will host "A Night of Racing" at the Hollywood Dog Track for FGA Board members and guests and SFGA members. A few special surprises are planned for this event. Invitations to the Annual Meeting will be mailed the first part of May. Banquet tickets will again be $25 per person. The FGA has booked a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn at $75 per night.

Results of the recent Board of Directors Election were announced. Director Terry Haber has been named the president of the South Florida Association. This resulted in a Board seat being made available. There were four write-in candidates for the Board. Two of them are automatically members as they are presidents of local associations. One write-in expressed no interest in serving. The fourth write-in, former NGA Director John Clark of Jacksonville, was voted on and approved by the Board present.

Following the confirmation of the Board, a committee was appointed to present a slate of officers for the Year 2001. Chairman Paul Scheele made a motion for the committee that the present officers of the FGA be reelected unanimiously, seconded by Jim Blanchard. It was so approved. Reelected were:
President Labun
1st Vice President Mendheim
2nd Vice President Houchin
Secretary/Treasurer Gurbada

No further business pending, the meeting was adjourned at 3:15 PM.
