The Palm Beach Kennel Club operates on a yearly basis. Thus the Palm Beach Kennel Owners, Inc. is a very active and strong association for the Florida Greyhound Association. President of the PBKO is Arthur Agganis. Members of the organization are very politically orientated and keep a close watch on state legislators in their area.
In the Palm Beach area, greyhound adoption programs have been extremely well-managed and active. The kennel operators as well as the Palm Beach Kennel Club itself, have financially and physically assisted the Greyhound Pets of America, Southeast Coast Chapter. Each year the pet group sponsors a "Homecoming" at the race track for adopted greyhounds and their owners. It is always a delightful occasion for all involved and one you would certainly enjoy attending.
The Palm Beach Kennel Club has been operating since 1932. South Florida residents and visitors have been provided with some of the finest and most exciting entertainment in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Although the products have increased considerably to patrons, greyhound racing is still the #1 attraction at all facilities in Florida. Track operators are being handed the challenge of their lives bringing the "Sport of Queens" in regal style into the next Century. How successful the plan will be - depends on the cooperation of the entire racing industry and the Florida Legislators.
