Alberta M. Brennan
Alberta M. Brennan, 72, of 405 E. Beecher St., Bloomington, died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday (December 30, 1999) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Her funeral will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Streator, the Rev. Jerome Ham officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Streator. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington, and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Community Cancer Center, 407 E. Vernon Ave., Normal 61761.
Mrs. Brennan was born Aug. 27, 1927, at Streator, a daughter of Albert and Cora Reed Woolford. She married Michael J. Brennan on Jan. 30, 1945, at Palmyra, MO. He died Aug. 7, 1975.
Surviving are one daughter, Patricia (Thomas) Stash, Gridley; three sons, Terrance Brennan, Normal; Bruce (Mary K.) Brennan, DeKalb; and Michael (Lucy) Brennan, Bloomington; and five grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, three brothers, Arthur Woolford, Harry Woolford and Frank Woolford; and two sisters, Harriett Woolford and Catherine Freese-Wykert.
Mrs. Brennan was a former member of St. Anthony’s Church, Streator.
She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Prairie Traveler Motel in Bloomington and for the past 15 years had managed the Hallmark card department at the Osco Drug Store on College Avenue in Normal.
