DEATH ENTERS HOME ON LIVINGSTON STREET – ILL THE PAST SIX WEEKS
Mrs. F. B. Reed, who has been a patient sufferer for the last six weeks was called beyond at 3:40 this morning. Her passing has left a once happy home a place of sorrow and grief and has left a void in the community that will be difficult to fill.
Six weeks ago Mrs. Reed was stricken with complications, and despite every effort that was made to save her life the end came this morning.
Ida B. Willavize, daughter of Mrs. William Willavize was born in Osage Township La Salle County March 24, 1866. In the same Township on December 2, 1885 she was united in marriage with Frank B. Reed.
She is survived by her mother, her husband and the following children – Mrs. Mabel Wable, Streator; Mrs. Rosalie Anderson, Streator; Mrs. Cora Woolford, Streator; Mrs. Eliza Anderson, Streator; Mrs. Fern Holt, Streator. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Nora Durkee, Marshall, Mich.; Mrs. Nellie Hunt, Orange Calf. and William Willavize Jr., Dana, and 15 grandchildren.
Mrs. Reed spent her entire life in this immediate neighborhood and she was a real neighbor and a friend worth having. Words of sorrow were heard on all sides when her death was announced this morning. For the past 17 years Mrs. Reed has lived in Streator. Prior to that time her life was spent in La Salle and Livingston Counties.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 17, with services at Ancona church at 1 P.M. Internment will be in Longpoint cemetery. The casket will be open from 7 to 12 noon on Wednesday.
