MRS. SCHORN TAKEN BY DEATH

Following a illness of two years, Mrs. Fred (Pauline Amelia) Schorn of 216 Sherman St., died at 5:55 a.m. today in Rutland Nursing Home.

Friends may call at the Winterrowd funeral home after 4 o’clock Friday and until 11 a.m. Saturday, when the remains will be taken to the First Baptist church. Services will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.

The daughter of William and Sarah (Schimmel) Hefler, she was born at El Paso (IL), Mar. 12, 1896. She was married to Fred Schorn at Peoria, Nov. 26, 1936.

Mr. Schorn survives along with three children, Mrs. Harry (Frances) Woolford of Joliet; Homer Shelby of Elgin, and Claude Shelby of St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; five brothers, William, Delbert and Virgil of Streator; Harry Hefler of Cornell, and Ezra Hefler of Niles, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Nila) Williams of Streator; Mrs. Robert (Lila) Barber , Clinton, and Mrs. Ray (Edna) Donoho of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Mrs. Schorn had resided in this city the past 45 years and was a member of the First Baptist church.


MRS. F. SCHORN SERVICES HELD

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Schorn, 216 Sherman street, a resident of locality for 45 years, who died in Rutland Nursing Home Wednesday morning, were held at the First Baptist church at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Rev. Kenneth Klein, pastor of the church, officiated, and conducted graveside rites at Riverview cemetery. Mrs. Kenneth Kein was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Richard Daniels at the organ.

Serving as pallbearers were Robert Hefler, Lyle Kearfott, Norman Williams, William Hefler, Joseph Donoho, and Paul Williams. In charge of the floral tributes were Mesdames Norman Williams, Robert Hefler, Paul Williams, William Hefler,, and Miss Sarah Hefler.

Attending the services from a distance were Mrs. Edna Donoho, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Ezra Hefler and family, Niles, Mich.; Claude Shelby and family, St. Louis, Mo.; Homer Shelby and family, Elgin; and others from Peoria, Ottawa, Joliet, El Paso, Gridley, La Salle, Peru, Leonore, and the surronding communities.
