The JWL [Episode 11]

Live from The Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, NC

You know the drill.

Opening match: Gangrel (w/Luna Vachon) vs. Kurt Angle (w/Mr. Bob Backlund)

LG: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall."

("I Don't Suck" plays)

LG: "Introducing first, being led to the ring by Mr. Bob Backlund and representing High Standards, from Pittsburgh, PA, weighing in at 220 lbs., KURT ANGLE!"

Crowd boos and chants "You suck, you suck."

("Blood" plays)

LG: "And his opponent, being led to the ring by Luna Vachon and representing the Misfits, from the Other Side of Darkness, weighing in at 240 lbs., GANGREL!"

Crowd cheers.

JR points out how this will be more than just a clash of styles. It will be a clash of personalities and of lifestyles. It will be a clash between the living and the dead.

Kurt starts with matwork, showing off his skills. Gangrel, who was trained by Dean Malenko, responds with his own mat skills, surprising Angle and drawing good heat. Angle gets a clothesline, a dropkick and a belly-to-back suplex for two. Angle hits another suplex for two. Angle goes to work on Gangrel's leg, to soften him up for the anklelock. Gangrel fights back and gets an enzuigiri for two. Gangrel keeps up the punishment, drawing great crowd heat. Gangrel gets a clothesline and a powerslam for two. Kurt fights back and goes for the Angle Slam, but Gangrel wriggles free and gets a neckbreaker for two. Gangrel goes for another cover and gets two. Angle tries a small package, but they are too close to the ropes. Gangrel keeps fighting back, frustrating Angle. Double-KO. Backlund distracts the ref and Luna counters by attacking Bob and ramming him into the ring steps. Luna tells referee Chad Patton to pay attention to the match. Chad turns around in time to see Gangrel hit the Impaler on Kurt for the win.

LG: "Here is your winner, GANGREL!"

The lights go down again and "Blood" plays. The only thing that can be seen are some red flashing lights. When the lights come back on, Angle and Backlund are covered in red! It was a bloodbath!

Commercials

Main Event: "The Iceman" Dean Malenko (w/"The Horny Little She-Devil" Terri Runnels) vs. Lance Storm (w/Trish Stratus)

LG: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall."

(Lance Storm's music plays)

Crowd boos.

LG: "Introducing first, being led to the ring by Trish Stratus and representing Stratusfaction Inc., from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 232 lbs., LANCE STORM!"

Storm takes the mic.

STORM: "If I could be serious for a minute. Everyone talks about how Dean Malenko is such a great technical wrestler. Even if that is true, unfortunately he is a great AMERICAN technical wrestler, not a great CANADIAN technical wrestler. Being from Calgary (dramatic pause), Alberta, Canada makes me the best. So don't blame Canada, blame yourself."

Crowd boos again.

Storm gives Lillian the mic.

("The Four Horsemen" by Metallica plays)

LG: "And his opponent, being led to the ring by Terri Runnels and representing the Four Horsemen, from Tampa, FL, weighing in at 212 lbs., 'THE ICEMAN' DEAN MALENKO!"

Crowd cheers.

Match begins with, of course, mat wrestling, with both guys trying to assert dominance. Malenko cranks on Storm's leg to set up for the Texas Cloverleaf. Storm counters with his own stuff, and gets a suplex for two. Malenko gets a German Suplex for two. Another one. Another. Tenay mentions that Malenko stole that from his friend and fellow Horseman Chris Benoit. Storm escapes Malenko's assault and bails to the floor. Malenko follows and rams Storm into the ringpost. Malenko gives Storm a vertical suplex on the floor. Malenko rolls Storm back into the ring and covers for two. Storm keeps fighting back and gets a big enzuigiri for two. Storm follows with a DDT. Powerslam gets two. Vertical suplex gets two. Storm stomps away on Malenko and goes for a powerbomb, but Malenko turns it into a huracanrana for two. Kip-ups and a standoff which draws pops. Storm attacks and gets a superkick for two. Storm goes for the Canadian Maple Leaf, but Malenko gets to the ropes. Malenko gets up but Storm superkicks him again. It gets two. Malenko gets up and takes over with a brainbuster. Then a leg whip. Malenko hits a couple of suplexes and goes for the Tiger Driver (double-underhook Liger Bomb), but Storm blocks it and trips Malenko up and goes for the Canadian Maple Leaf again. Malenko turns it into a small package, but Storm reverses it and hangs on for the surprise win!

LG: "Here is your winner, LANCE STORM!"

Post-match, Terri goes after Trish and we get the obligatory catfight. Terri actually dominates it, and beats up Trish for a bit until Storm rescues her and the heels leave.

Trish and Storm find Joey Styles in the back.

TRISH: "Terri Runnels, you're just jealous because I'm so much hotter and better than you are or could ever be. If you want to attack me like that, then let's make it official. I'm challenging you to a match, one-on-one, at the next show. I guarantee a very Stratusfying outcome for myself, but not for you."

Joey finds Terri and Dean and informs them of Trish's challenge.

Terri: "You think you can beat me, Trish? I accept your challenge and, as my fellow Horseman Chris Benoit would say, you will not prove me wrong!"

End of show.
