(Later, almost 3am...)
"Yeah?" She looked at him with this smile of hers that he adored.
"I wanted to ask you, if you'd like to go out with me one night?!" he
said.
"Like...on a date?" Kaylee asked.
Howie nodded and smiled shyly: "Yeah! You know, maybe a movie and
later go dancing or whatever you'd like!"
"Howie, I...I really like you and I'm not just saying this to make
you feel better" - Howie's happy smile disappeared, but he still looked
at her sweetly - "but I don't think I want to give this a try", Kaylee
stated. Howie just nodded. In that moment Kaylee felt so bad. He was
such a nice and sweet-hearted guy, she didn't want to hurt him. "Please
let me explain", she said.
"It's okay, Kaylee", Howie said. "I might have been a little forward.
I didn't even ask you if you're already seeing someone, so...it's ok if
I'm not your type of guy!" He forced a smile.
"That's not it", she said. "If things were different I'd be happy to
meet a guy like you, Howie, but not with this whole Backstreet Boys
thing." Now the expression on his face was sad. "I want a guy who's
there for me, not just mentally", Kaylee explained. "I'm not the girl
to sit around at home waiting for a phone call, while my boyfriend is
on another continent. I'm 22 and I'm looking for something serious.
That's why I don't wanna try this."
"You don't think this could be serious?" he asked.
"When I see Kevin and Caroline I see that it could work, but I don't
want something as complicated as this." She searched his face for a
sign that he understood, but all she found was sadness.
Finally Howie nodded. "It's not the first time I hear this", he said.
"It's the sacrifices I have to make..." He wished he could kiss her
just one time, but he didn't dare to. So he just smiled at her.
"I guess I better go now", Kaylee said. "Bye, Howie!" She hugged him.
"Bye, Kaylee", he said, as he inhaled the scent of her hair. As she
wanted to open the door, he held her back. "Kaylee?"
"Yeah?"
"May I call you some time?" He let out a little laugh. "Let's say in
a few years time, when the Backstreet Boys madness is over?!"
"I'd be happy to hear from you", she smiled. She searched her pockets
and then handed him a card with her address and phone number. "Bye..."
Howie had wondered all night, if he should ask Kaylee out. He wasn't
sure if it was a good idea because the BSB would go on tour soon, and
he and Kaylee wouldn't have the time to really start something serious.
But now that she was about to leave there was no doubt left: he wanted
to see her again. He had to at least give it a try.
"Kaylee?"
~~~~~
Molly took a look at her watch and realized she had to leave. She
would meet the girls down in the lobby in ten minutes. She sighed. Time
had gone by too fast, she didn't want to leave, but she knew she had
to. "Alex? I gotta go...", she said with a sad smile. AJ looked at her
just as sad. "I'm meeting the girls in ten minutes."
Both stood up, when a new song started to play. "Oh, I love this
song", Molly exclaimed. It was Next's "Too Close". "I think I can stay
another five minutes", she snickered and began swaying to the music.
AJ smiled at her as he moved closer, then pulling her to his body.
They kept on dancing and grinding to the song, creating a very intense
atmosphere.
AJ started to sing along: "Baby, when we're grinding, I get so
excited! Ooh, how I like it, I tried, but I can't fight it..." They
were staring into each other's eyes all the time.
Then it was Molly's turn to sing - and laugh: "Step back, you're
dancing kinda close..." She snickered as AJ's grip on her got even
stronger, but suddenly both turned serious. One of AJ's hands travelled
up her body to her face, caressing it gently, then pushing some hair
out if it. They didn't notice that they slowly stopped dancing. Then
they just saw in each other's eyes what would happen next. Molly felt
AJ's hand on her neck, saw his face coming closer to hers, before she
closed her eyes. She would never forget the moment, when his lips
touched her for the very first time. He felt so soft, so good and she
definitely wanted more.
AJ felt something like electricity run through his body, when he
kissed Molly. It was just a simple kiss first, just enjoying the
sensational new feeling of her lips on his. But he longed for more, as
the passion grew stronger. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she
opened her lips, allowing his tongue to find hers. She returned the
kiss with as much passion as he was giving her, and when they broke
apart they were both breathing heavily. Their eyes locked again, as he
still held her close.
"I gotta go...", she said, her voice trailing off. She felt like
fainting. AJ nodded, before kissing her again. After they pulled away
this time, she just escaped his arms with a smile, before walking out
the door.
When he realized that she was gone, he felt like waking up from a
dream. He smiled, but he also felt a little sad. He had wanted her so
much to stay tonight, just to have her around, just to hold her. But he
couldn't ask her to stay. Not only did he believe that she would've
said "No" anyway, but he also didn't want her to think something wrong.
He decided that he wanted to take things slow with Molly - although
they didn't really have much time. But he wanted them to really have a
chance, he wanted this to work! He plopped onto his bed with a huge
grin on his face. Mrs.Right...
Molly was glad when she could lean against the wall in the elevator.
Her legs felt like Jell-O, and her heart and mind were still with AJ.
Did they just kiss? "Hell yeah, baby", she thought. Everything felt
blurry and she was shaking inside. She was so happy, but she refused to
let herself get hyper over this. She still didn't know why that
happened in there, if AJ was serious about it or if she was just a
little flirt. She would have to find out.
Kaylee was already waiting in the lobby. Molly greeted her with a big
grin, which was answered with a smile from Kaylee.
~~~~~
"Hey, Mandy! We have to leave", Sarah said.
Mandy looked at her surprised: "It's already that late?" Sarah just
nodded. "Oh!" Mandy didn't realize how fast time had flown by. She had
been listening to Brian telling her stories about his childhood in
Lexington and she was cracking up. Not only were his stories funny
anyway, but especially the way he told them. "Kaylee is waiting for us
in the lobby", Mandy explained to Brian .
"Oh, no prob", he said. "We'll continue where we stopped another
time."
The promise of another meeting cheered Mandy up a little, but only a
little. She knew, if she would get to spend more time with him, she
would fall in love helplessly. But she really wanted to see him again,
although he didn't seem to return her feelings. At least she would have
him as a friend!
"See ya, B.!" Sarah said, walking out the door already.
Mandy and Brian both stood up. "Bye, Brian!" Mandy said, flashing him
a bitter-sweet smile.
"Frick or B-RokŪ for you", he replied. "Bye, Mandy!" To her surprise
he suddenly stepped forward, placed one hand on her shoulder, the other
on her waist, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Mandy thanked God that
she didn't start to tremble or that her blood didn't rush to her face
before, so that he couldn't feel how hot her face felt right now. They
shared another smile - then she left...

"Nick? What time is it?" Araysa mumbled, because Nick's lips were on
hers. She had just heard the beeping of his watch, which reminded her
that she had to meet the girls in the lobby later.
He pulled herself up from her, looked at his watch and answered:
"It's exactly 3am now. Wow" - he smiled - "time flies when you're
around. It seems I've only held you for a few minutes!"
She smiled at his compliment, but gently pushed him off of her. "I'm
sorry", she said, giving him a quick kiss, "but the girls are already
waiting for me. I gotta go!"
"Oh no", he begged, grabbing her hips and pulling her back onto the
bed.
"Nick!" she laughed. "I can't stay longer."
He gave her the puppy-dog-look and asked: "I'll see you tomorrow? I
mean...later today?"
"Of course", she smiled happily, and allowed him to pull her in for
another deep kiss. He felt so good, it was illegal. She could hardly
break away from him, but she didn't want the girls to be mad at her.
"Bye..."
"I don't know when I've felt this happy the last time", Nick thought,
as Araysa flashed him another smile, before closing the door. "I think
I'm in love!" This realization surprised himself. Love? He had never
truly believed he was in love - not before today...
Araysa felt the urge to jump around with joy on her way down to the
lobby in the elevator, but she could keep herself from doin so. The
next second her mind felt like fainting, as she remembered the past two
hours. Nick and her had laid on the bed all the time, kissing first.
Then they had talked about each other, while she was safely lying in
his arms. After that they had kissed again, then stopped and talked
again. And the last half hour was spent with passionate sweet
kissing... Nick had been so wonderful all the time. His hands never
stopped caressing her. When they had been talking his fingers had
gently stroked her arm, or played with her hair, or traced the lines of
her face - not speaking of how gentle he had been when they had kissed!
And boy, was he a good kisser! She laughed silently, as she stepped out
of the elevator and smiled, as four pairs of eyes greeted her.
~~~~~
The girls didn't speak a lot on their way home. Of course they all wanted to know what happened in the other rooms, but no one was going much into detail - at least not right now. They would save that for later. For now it was enough to know that they had all enjoyed themselves and that they had a beautiful night. And they all agreed that it was definitely a night to remember...
