Untitled Chapter Three

At promptly 10am I heard the beeping of an alarm. All of a sudden I heard a voice yell, “SHUT UP!!” And then I heard a crash and no more beeping. I sat up and saw that Nick was still sleeping so I laid my head back down and fell back asleep. About ten minutes later I heard some talking and felt a draft.

“And what do we have here?” My eyes flew open and I saw Brian and Mandy standing outside of our bunk. I still had my shirt off so I had the covers all the way to my neck. Just then Nick also woke up.

“Morning Frack how are we feeling this morning?” Brian asked very sarcastically.

“I am just fine.” Nick sarcastically snapped back.

“Okay, I will leave you two alone to get dressed.” Brian said with a wink.

Brian took Mandy’s hand and they went out to the front of the bus. I watched them and a smile came across my face. I liked Nick and here I was in his “bed,” and Mandy liked Brian and there she was holding his hand. Nick looked at me funny.

“Why are you smiling?” Nick asked.

“I don’t know, I was just thinking that’s all.” I said back.

I sat up and started looking around for my top. Just then Nick pushed me back down and got on top of me. He looked down at me and smiled. I started to giggle.

“What’s so funny?” He asked.

“You’re just so cute, you know that?” I said.

“I hate it when people call me cute.” Nick said with a laugh.

“Okay, well then you are the hottest man alive. Is that better?”

“Nah, let’s just stick with cute.” Nick said as he starting blushing.

I smiled and put both of my hands on his face. I brought his face down to me, as I did that he took my hands and put them above my head and held them there as he starting kissing me. We were kissing when all of a sudden my mind took over. I quickly stopped kissing Nick and looked away from him.

“What’s the matter?” Nick asked with concern.

“Nick, what are we doing?” I answered.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, I just met you last night for the first time and this has already happened. Don’t get me wrong, I really really like you and I really really love kissing you, but we are never going to see each other again. I just don’t want to get my hopes up. I hold the world record for most times being played or jerked around by a guy.” I said starting to cry.

“Hey, hey!! Araysa, you don’t have to cry. Who ever said anything about never seeing each other again? It probably will be hard for you to believe but I don’t sleep around with every girl I meet. As you probably know I just got out of a relationship and you are the first girl since my ex-girlfriend that I have done anything with. And I mean anything.” Nick said trying to calm me.

“That makes me feel a little better, but I just don’t think that we should do this anymore, right now.” I said.

“Yea, maybe you’re right. But, hey come to Milwaukee with us.” Nick begged.

“Nick, I don’t know. We don’t have tickets or a hotel.” I said

“Ummmm...I think I know somebody that can hook you up with tickets and backstage passes. As for the hotel, I’m sure that we can find a place to accommodate you guys are on our floor somewhere.” Nick said.

“Is this really going to be okay? Shouldn’t you ask the others first and most importantly your bodyguards?” I asked.

“No, we don’t run each other’s lives. If they have a problem with it they can come and talk to me. I’m sure nobody will mind though. You and Mandy are mature girls and I have no worries.” Nick said while giving me a kiss on the forehead.

“Okay, as long as it’s okay with everybody. I’ll come to Milwaukee. I’m sure Mandy won’t have a problem with it.” I said.

"Good, that’s settled. Well, better get dressed and get ready to go leave.” Nick said as he climbed over me and got out of the bunk.

I put my shirt on and followed Nick out to the front of the bus. As soon as we got out there Kevin, AJ, and Howie stepped up onto the bus.

“Good morning ladies. We saw your car by the bus and figured you guys probably stayed on the bus.” AJ said.

“Good morning guys.” Mandy and I said back.

“Ummm...guys I asked Araysa this but she wanted to make sure it was okay with you guys. I invited her and Mandy to come to Milwaukee with us.” Nick said.

“Yea, that’s a great idea.” Brian said as he looked at Mandy with a big smile.

"I have no problem with it.” Howie said.

“Me either.” Aj agreed

“Me either.” Kevin said.

“Cool, well we better get our stuff to the car so we can take off.” I said as I grabbed my bag.

“Yea, just follow the buses. If you get lost we are staying at the Radisson of Milwaukee. It’s about four or five blocks away from the Bradley Center.” Kevin said.

“Okay, should we just wait outside or something if we get there first? I mean I’m a fast driver if I know where I’m going.” I said.

“Just try and follow the bus, but if you get there first we will call the hotel and put your guys’ names on our list of people that will be checking in for our floor.” Brian said.

“Got it, will stay behind you guys.” I said.

“Well, we’ll see you girls there then.” Nick said as he gave me a quick kiss before we went out the door.

Mandy and I put all of our stuff in the car and got ready to leave. The buses started up and pulled out and we got in line behind them. Soon we were on our way to Milwaukee. As we were driving a long every time a BSB song would come on the radio we would go nuts. It wasn’t too hard to stay with bus and we managed to follow them right to the hotel without getting lost or separated. When we got to the hotel the buses went right to the garage and we pulled up to the valet to have the car parked. I got out and the bell hops started helping us take all of our stuff out the car. We walked into the lobby and saw AJ’s mom standing by the front desk.

“Should we go over there, or wait for the guys?” I asked Mandy.

“I don’t know.” She answered back.

Just then we saw Denise wave us to her.

“You are Araysa and Mandy right?” She asked.

“Yep, that’s us.” I said.

“Good, I was hoping it was you so I wouldn’t look like an idiot waving to you.” Denise said with a laugh.

Mandy and I started to laugh to. I could already tell that I liked Denise a lot and that we would get a long. We got checked in and got our keys. We found out that you have to have a special key to the penthouse level and that our room would be the extra one that they have that they usually use for storage. We got into our room and was amazed. It was a beautiful suite with a living room area and a bedroom. Soon the bell hops came with all of our stuff. We got all settled when we heard a knock on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it. It was Nick and Brian.

“Hey guys, come on in.” I said.

“Are you girls all settled? We are going to go to the venue right now and do sound check and stuff. Do you want to come with us?” Brian asked.

“Yea, we would love to.” Mandy said.

“Hey, is it okay if we bring a camera? Don’t worry, I’m not going to use the pictures for financial gain. I love to take pictures of my friends and I guess I consider you guys my friends now.” I asked.

“Yea, that would be no problem. Just don’t get in anybody’s way, and if anybody asks just show them your pass.” Nick said.

“No problem, we are here to enjoy ourselves not get in your or anybody else’s way. We understand you have a job to do.” I said.

We all got into vans that were parked outside and made our way to the Bradley Center. We pulled up behind the venue to the sound of screaming girls. I looked out the window and saw that there were about 50 girls outside waiting for the boys to arrive.

“Hey Mandy, remind you of anybody?” I asked.

“Shut up, Araysa.” Mandy said with a giggle.

“What?” Brian asked.

“Oh nothing, except we were doing the same thing outside of the Kohl Center in Madison when your buses came in.” I said.

“Really? Weren’t you cold?” Nick asked.

“Uh yea, I was freezing. I didn’t have gloves. Araysa was lucky she had a pair.” Mandy said.

“Okay, I want the guys to get out first and get inside. Then as soon as they are safely inside I will come back out and get you girls. So don’t get out till I come back.” Nick’s bodyguard said.

“Okay, we’ll be here.” Mandy said.

Brian opened the door to the van and the screaming got a hundred times louder. Both Nick and Brian ran out the van. I looked out the windshield and saw Kevin, Howie, and Aj doing the same. We were in the van for another ten minutes when we saw Nick’s bodyguard come back out. He opened the doors and told us to come on out. We got out and made our way to the door of the venue. As we were going to the door we heard a lot of girls shouting.

“Are you their girlfriends?”

“Is Nick a good kisser?”

“Which one of you is going out with Brian?”

“I thought they didn’t have girlfriends.”

There was also the occasional “bitches,” “skanks,” and “whores.” I didn’t realize until that moment how nasty some people can be. They didn’t even know us. I could have been Nick’s cousin or something but they didn’t care. They automatically assumed that we were there girlfriends. I brushed the thoughts out of mind and concentrated on thinking of Nick and how lucky of a girl I was. We got escorted out to the arena and down by the stage. They had most of it set up and were now tuning the instruments and getting them ready for sound check. We spotted Mindi and Guy from the band and walked over to say hi. We wanted to know if they would remember us from Minneapolis and Madison.

“Hey Guy, remember us?” I asked.

“What are you girls doing here? I thought you said you didn’t have tickets.” He said with a grin.

“Well, we met some people, made some friends, you know how it goes.” I said back.

Just then the guys came out on the floor and came over by us. Nick came over and took my hand. I looked over at Guy and he started to laugh.

“See I told you I made some friends.”

“Yea, and you were upset that you didn’t get to meet him in Minneapolis.” Guy said.

“What’s this all about?” Nick asked confused.

“Oh, I didn’t tell you that we met all of your guys’ band and we met Kevin, Howie, Aj, and Brian in Minneapolis at your hotel. You had already left for Arizona and I was disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to meet you.” I said.

“How come you didn’t tell me that before?” Nick said.

“You didn’t ask.” I said back.

“True, I didn’t. Well, that’s cool so you guys have already been introduced.” Nick said.

“Well, sort of I don’t know if Mindi knows our names or if Guy remembers.” Mandy said.

“Well, for everybody’s benefit this Araysa, and this is Mandy.” Nick said.

Everybody shook hands. Just then Kevin came over and pointed at the stage.

“Okay, let’s get this sound check on the road. EYC and Mandy still have to check before the show tonight.”

“Well, you heard the man, we gotta get going. You are guys are going to be able to stand here all night. You can come backstage and then before the show starts you can make your way to the front. Nobody will notice that you came from backstage I’m sure.” Nick said.

Nick gave me kiss and went over to get harnessed up. Brian gave Mandy a kiss and did the same. They were going to try out the flying mechanism. I was so excited for the show tonight and I was even more excited to see the show from down front. Mandy and I found some seats to sit in to watch the guys sound check.

“This so great Mandy, I’m so happy.” I said as a tear rolled down my check.

“Now, I’m telling you not to cry. But, yea this is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know I said that when we met the guys in Minneapolis but I take that back. I’ve thanked God all day long for doing this for us. I will be forever thankful to Him.” Mandy said.

“Amen!” I said back as I gave Mandy a big hug.
