Our Honeymoon

December 20-23, 1999. Savannah, Georgia

We chose Savannah as our honeymoon destination because we love historical sites. We stayed at the Olde Harbour Inn in the historical district. We spent our time on tours, shopping in the little shops and visiting nearby national parks. The weather was dreary and cold, but we still had a really great time!

The Olde Harbour Inn.

This is the old Cotton Exchange, now a Freemason's Hall.

This is the City Hall. The dome is coated with 24k gold.

Savannah has beauty on every street.

One night we went on a horse drawn Ghost Tour. It was really great. We highly recommend this!

One of the nearby National Parks we visited was Fort Caroline. It was beautiful there.

This is the Tybee Island Lighthouse on nearby Tybee Island. We love lighthouses.Thank God this wasn't as tall as the St. Augustine lighthouse!(tallest lighthouse on the east coast)

Fort Frederica was the other National Park in the area that we got to visit. Very full of history.
