But here's why I'm not a fan. They're boring. It doesn't seem as though they ENJOY what they do unless they're raking in the dough with album sales or promotional shows. That doesn't go down with me. I was talking to a friend and she said that she liked NSync better than BSB simply because, "They have more personality." Amen. Backstreet doesn't really have fun and just let go like NSync does. They just go through the motions, very un-enthusiastically. I have TRIED to get into Backstreet Boys concerts like I do NSync ones, but I can't. I don't see any heart, damnit. They have good songs and a kick ass CD (Millenium) but they are not "the shit" like NSync is. Umm yeah.
$$'s speaks: I just went to the BSB show on Saturday. For free...I have the hook-up just leave it at that. And for all purposes, I tried not to be biased. But in my opinion, I was bored off my ass. I mean they sounded really good, and I knew every word to every song ::hangs head in shame:: but they just did nothing for me. The only thing I really liked about the show, was the fact that Nicky cut his hair. Praise the Lord. I mean a while back there was all that stupid controversy over the *N SYNC vs. BSB "flying" thing in the show. WHY??!??! I mean all BSB did was fly on their hover boards directly over to the stage. WHOOPIE! And hey guys...get rid of the 84 backup dancers, and do it for your damn selves. AMEN. It was distracting, and it took away from the guys. They half assed it the entire show. They didn't pump up the crowd. They were just like....there. I will admit that I really liked BSB when they first came out. I still like their songs to this day....but I do not like them. They are boring, and they have no personality, and they act like they are "above" all the publicity and things that are necessary to succeed in the business. They make statements like....We focus on our music not our dancing....I mean that is like a direct insult to *N SYNC....and that shit is unnecessary. Whatever. I just don't like them for them, but their music is good. I will give them that. In conclusion all I have to say, is they are NO *N SYNC.
