AUTOTRAIN IN FOLKSTON I
Folkston is a great place to watch the Autotrain blow by, but it is
not the best spot for photos. The southbound is too early in the morning
unless it is late, but that rarely happens. The northbound train goes through
too late in the day during most of the year. This shot was taken in March
of 1999.
So the best time of the year is June. That is if the dispatcher does
not decide to send a slow moving southbound freight on track 1, while the
northbound Autotrain is blowing by on track 2. This meant that I had to
come back the following weekend.
