Silver Star Southbound is just out of the new Amtrak station in Jacksonville.
Very little glamour is left out of the stop in Jacksonville which used
to take place at the grand Terminal. The only glamour left is a couple
railfans taking lousy pictures trackside. The pig train in the background
is waiting for the Star to get through at Beaver Street.

Siver Star southbound from the Beaver Street Bridge. Back then, Beaver
Street Interlocking Tower was still standing.
Kissimmee, Fl; July 1997
The southbound Star is about to stop for a quick one at the Kissimmee
depot. Waiting for it in the siding south of town is the late northbound
Meteor.
Opa-Locka, Fl; July 1997
The Star is almost home as it blows by the Tri-Rail station late in
the afternoon.
