Another second generation diesel to survive till today are the SD40-2. Quite a bunch of these engines could still be spotted in July 2000 pulling rock. Here, 8005 is leading a molten sulfur train into Mulberry Yard.

Welcome Junction, Fl; July 2000.
The new power was dominated by EMDX SD70M bought recently by CSX. Here, a couple of these engines are heading for Rockport with a load of processed rock.

Green Bay, Fl, Bone Valley Sub; July 2000.
EMDX SD70Ms came in 2 elegant paint schemes. Here, 7019 is leading a load of wet rock to the Green Bay processing plant.

Little by little, the EMDXs received a number patch. 4689  was probably one of the first ones to get it.

Foreign power shows up on a regular basis in the yard. SOO engines are generally seen on molten sulfur trains to Canada. UP/SP/DRGW/CNW are seen on molten sulfur and processed phosphate to Texas.
