ISERE TGV BRIDGE
After a short ride north of the Valence TGV station, the train crosses
the bridge over the Isere River. A half hour stand yields another 6 trains
including this train meet. No need to release the blocks, line up the switch
for the oncoming train, wait an hour for the other train, joke around with
the other conductor on the radio, etc. The double main line allows train
meets at 200 MPH. The northbound is on the foreground on the first shot.
Just a few minutes later, another southbound blows by.
From the overpass, this northbound just went under my feet.
Again from the overpass, this southbound is a fraction of a second
away from where I am standing. The gust of wind that I felt on top of the
overpass was no Folkston breeze from the Silver star!!!
