Her best qualities? She makes you want to fulfill her trust. She's trusted me when no one else has. She's loyal like no one I've ever seen or known. Like the time she followed me to London after I ran out on her. Most people would have said good riddance.

I love it when she loses control, her wild impetuousness. I still would love to see that fan dance. I love her enthusiasm. It wraps around me and I really can believe anything is possible.

Her laugh. When she laughs, the sound is like nothing I've ever heard...a crazed, wildchild laugh. When she smiles, her eyes seem to dance. She wants me around, and not just because I've assumed Remington Steele. She wants me around just because, as she would say; something I still find impossible to believe. Her heart loves like none I've ever seen.

Sometimes I wonder what would have happened had I stolen the Royal Lavulite. She makes me feel things that still scare me. I worry when she's out on assignment, when she's in danger. When I see her upset, it takes everything I have not to whisk her away someplace where she'll never feel pain. Laura, I know what you need to hear. Maybe I'm just too much of a bloody coward to say the words you need to hear. Hopefully, one day, I'll find the courage to say them to you. Just know that because I don't say the words doesn't mean I don't. I do.

If it would make that smile and that laugh appear, I'd steal the Crown Jewels.

--Remington
