Butterfly wings buffet my soul
Soft and soothing, gentle...
Your love envelops me
And I am captivated by its warmth
Your love is reminiscent
Of the butterflies of the soul
It soothes my frantic heartbeat
Slowly calming me, caressing me
It is softer than the clouds,
Made of cotton candy, in the sky
It is softer than the kitten fur
That tickles your leg as it passes by
I am captivated by you
You hold me within your spell
And I cannot break free
Nor would I want to...
Your love is so warm,
The brilliance of a summer's day
Could not outshine its warmth
And it soothes...it soothes my soul
My soul has never known another
Quite as wonderous as yourself
My soul breathes deep again
Inhaling your love as though
It was the redolence of a red rose
Or the fresh invigorating scent
Of a shower filled spring day
I have come to know this heaven
