The Sun continues to rise and set
The Moon still keeps her hand in the tides
The days have grown shorter since we met
And time, she passes; she bides, she bides
Life carries on but, our end is near
For the light of our love has faded
We cast off what we once held so dear
Our once naive hearts are now jaded
We put our trust in love from the start
The kind of trust you put in the stars
Never thought that we may grow apart
Our hearts now encased in iron bars
Will we ever heal from the barbs thrown?
Will we remain ever so alone?
