Vince Liles
I started playing the guitar when I was 12. My friend Tommy Tyson came
over every day and showed me how to play. Tommy and I started our first
band two years later. We played together in high school and college. We
played mostly country music. We won numerous Battle of the Bands contest
in the Tampa Bay area. In 1982, I left the T. Tyson Band and started my own
band, Southern Breeze, which was mainly Southern Rock and Rock and Roll.
In 1985, I moved to Sebring, but remained with Southern Breeze until I got tired
of traveling back and forth to Tampa. In 1987, I got married and stayed out
of music until 1989, at which time I got back into playing and formed Backstage Pass. Jack, Marc, and myself has been together ever since.
I am married to Diana Liles, a kindergarten school teacher. I have 2 children,
Blake and Sarah. My hobbies are golfing, fishing, playing music, and spending
quality time with my family.
