Christians in the hands of
a Jealous God
Chapter 4
Another Jesus, Another
Spirit,
Another Gospel (AJASAG)
"But I fear, lest by
any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your
minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit, which ye
have not received, or another gospel,
which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." (2 Cor 11:3-4)
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into
the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but
there be some that trouble you, and would pervert
the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we
have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If
any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let
him be accursed. For do I now
persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men,
I should not be the servant of Christ.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is
not after man." (Gal 1:6-11)
If I asked most Christians the question, "Are you aware and beware of who in the Christian camp is preaching another Jesus, influenced by another Spirit, presenting another Gospel?" I'm afraid to report to you the fact that most don't even have a clue who these guys are! It would shock them to know when the sheep's clothing is ripped off, that lo and behold, it was who they were telling me was their favorite preachers! Blinded by the smokescreen "Don't Judge," made afraid by the perversion of "Touch Not God's Anointed," false teachers have removed the ancient landmarks which the apostles, prophets and Jesus Christ has established!
One of the foundational landmarks being removed is the teaching that our redemption wasn't purchased at the cross, but that Jesus went to hell and was tortured of the devil purchasing our redemption there in hell and from there in hell, Jesus became a born again person! You would be surprised to know the people behind this teaching and when I tell you, most of you will have a hard time believing the truth even though it comes with documented facts from their ministries! God is a Jealous God and a consuming fire! One of the main problems He haves with His children is that personalities have more influence over them than Him! I delight in mercy, not only for me but also for others! So when I name names, know that it doesn't come without any prayer, I've been praying for repentance and mercy for these guys since I've came across this teaching about a year ago! I've contacted their ministry to know if it was just a rumor or if it was true, and with almost as a surprise to me they verified, "Yes, Jesus died spiritually. Yes, Jesus went to hell. Yes, Jesus was born again." Beloved, just let the truth be known, let God be true and everyman the liar, let the chips fall where they fall! If it falls on your favorite preacher whom you hold in high esteem, pray that he repents and comes to the knowledge of the truth that he may recover himself out of the snare of the devil (2 Tim 2:26). But as for me and my house, we're on the Lord's side, we will serve the Lord! We won't follow the blind, neither will we partake in other mens sins, knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men.

"Removing the Ancient
Landmarks"
The Cross and The Atonement
Kenneth Copeland along with a host of many other "Word of Faith" (WOF) teachers, Fred Price, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Hagin, just to name a few at the tip of the iceberg, and there are many, many others, are some of the apostles of another gospel. If they're associated with the W.O.F. movement chances are, they hold to the same teachings, because you can't hang out in their camp unless you preach their gospel, talk their talk. I would advise you to check them out for yourself! Call their ministries and ask them for yourselves. Don't just say "I've never heard these guys teach something like that, these guys are solid Bible teachers." Chances are, you probably never heard them teach it because about ten years ago when they began to blatantly preach these heresies, they came under a lot of fire and laid off for a little while. This is what they hold to as divine truth. Call the ministries and ask,
"Do you currently
believe, teach and hold to the same teachings or have you repented?"
#1
Do you believe and teach that "Jesus died spiritually?"
#2 Do you believe and teach that Jesus was "Born Again?"
#3 Do you believe and teach that we are "Gods, little Gods, or
little Messiahs"
#4 Do you believe and teach that Jesus "went to hell?"
#5 Do you believe and teach that our atonement was finished in hell
and not at the cross?
#6 Do you believe and teach that Jesus became "One in nature with
satan?"
But though we, or an
angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we
have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If
any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let
him be accursed.
1. THE
CROSS AND THE ATONEMENT OF CHRIST
On the cross when Jesus said, "IT IS FINISHED" (John
19:30), Kenneth Copeland says, it just begun!!! That our redemption wasn't wrought at cross, it began there, but
didn't finish there!!! That Jesus went
to Hell and had to be tortured of devil, purchasing
our redemption there from the pit of Hell!
Kenneth Copeland says:
"Jesus had to go through that same
spiritual death in order to pay the price. Now it wasn't the physical
death on the cross that paid the price for sin, because if it had of been any
prophet of God that had died for the last couple of thousand years before that
could have paid that price. It wasn't physical death anybody
could do that." (Kenneth Copeland, "What Satan Saw on the Day
of Pentecost" (Kenneth Copeland Ministries, audio tape #020022)
Fred Price says:
"Do you think that the punishment for our sin was to die on a cross? If that were the case, the two thieves could have paid our price. No, the punishment was to go into hell itself and to serve time in hell separated from God" (Frederick K.C. Price, Ever Increasing Faith Messenger, June 1990, p. 7).
This is an affront to the precious blood of Jesus; defaming the blood and blaspheming the Holy! Nobody other than Jesus, could pay the price for our sins, for ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). In Revelation 5 John was weeping because NO ONE was found worthy. In essence, what is being said is that the sinless blood of Jesus poured out at the cross wasn't good enough to atone for our sins!!! After Jesus suffered on the cross, He was dragged to Hell and suffered some more at the hands of the devil and his cohorts. But the Bible says it was His blood that redeemed us and it was at the cross, not in Hell, where it was purchased!
HOLY WRIT says:
"But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:" (Eph 2:13-16)
"And, having made peace through the
blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself;
by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and
enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of
his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and
unreproveable in his sight:" (Col
1:20-22)
"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;" (Heb 10:4-12)
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Pet 2:24)
"In whom we have redemption through his
blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" (Col 1:14; Eph 1:7)
"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (Col 2:14-15)
And God's sign of approval that He accepted the blood and
sacrifice of Jesus at the cross when it was finished, the veil in
the temple was rent in half from top to bottom. (Mark
15:38) It was done when Jesus died on
the cross, not after Jesus supposedly suffered 3 days in Hell!!!!
2.
JESUS GOING TO HELL???
Kenneth Copeland says:
"Satan conquered Jesus
on the Cross and took His spirit to the dark regions of
hell" (Kenneth Copeland, Holy Bible: Kenneth Copeland Reference
Edition (Kenneth Copeland, Fort Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1991),
129.)
"He [Jesus] allowed the devil to
drag Him into the depths of hell....He allowed Himself to come
under Satan's control...every demon in hell came down on Him to annihilate
Him....They tortured Him beyond anything anybody had ever conceived. For
three days He suffered everything there is to suffer." (Kenneth
Copeland, "The Price of It All," 3.)
This is perhaps the most asinine doctrine ever taught in the name of
revelation knowledge! First let me
state that, according to the Bible, the devil is not in Hell yet, and
when he gets there, he will not be some kind of ruler punishing people!!! There IS NO Biblical evidence anywhere to
support any of this nonsense! There
will be no gangs ruling in Hell, the devil will be tormented right along with a
host of many others! According to the
Bible, demons want to stay far away from that place! (Matthew
8:29) Nevertheless, who am I, Kenneth Copeland is
preaching to hundreds of thousands. All
I can do is tell you is what the Bible says,
IF "Satan conquered Jesus
on the Cross and took His spirit to the dark regions of
hell" then how could Jesus say in Luke 23:46 "Father into your hands I
commit my spirit?"
Should He not have said, "satan, into thy hands I commit my
spirit???"
IF Jesus was "dragged into the
depths of Hell… and tortured of the devil" then how could He say
to the thief on the cross next to Him, "Today shalt thou be
with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43) Should He not have said, "Today, shalt thou
be with me in Hell???"
Colossians 2:15
makes it crystal clear that the Lord Jesus won the victory for our redemption
on the cross!!! It was there that He made
an open show, public display, triumphing over them in it, in the
cross!!!
In the Lord's teaching regarding His death, He emphasized 2 elements,
both physical in regards to the coming New Covenant. "And as they
were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the
disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and
gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed
for many for the remission of sins." (Matt
26:26-28) He stresses His body, as symbolized in the bread, and His blood as
shown in the wine. The shedding of His blood was for the remission of sins!!!
Jesus says NOTHING about spiritual death, forcing Him to be tortured in Hell !!!
Can you see the
fulfillment of Bible prophecy where it talks about false teachers, "who
privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought
them.." (2 Pet 2:1; Jude 4) Don't be taken by, "well they've been in
the ministry for 50 years, look at all they've done, I've heard some of the best
teachings from these guys, etc."
The Bible said it would be like THIS in the last days! I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that
they might have been on track years ago.
But now, it's evident they have erred off course of the
straight and narrow! He that endureth
to the end, the same shall be saved! It's coming down to the spirit of truth or
the spirit of error, which do you love? The first words out of Jesus' mouth
regarding that last days is "Take heed, let no man deceive you!" (Matt 24) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits to see
whether they are of God!!! (1 John 4)
If any man love
not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. 1 Cor 16:22
