Lord, Are there FEW that Will Be Deceived

in the Last-Days?

 

     According to Jesus, the final days of this age would be marked by "Deception!"  The first words out of His mouth when the disciples came unto Him saying, "…Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" was, "Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matt 24:3-4)

I John 2:26-28

"These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.  And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming."

     IF we really believe the words of Jesus, IF we really believe He is at the doors! His return IS very imminent!  THEN we ought to be concerned with abiding in the truth, and

 not being seduced by the deception that is going to flood the Last-Days deceiving MANY!  Because there IS a departing from the faith (1 Tim 4:1); a waxing cold (Matt 24:12); a falling away (2 Thes 2:3) that WILL take place prior to the Lord's return, ushering in the one world church!  And IF we really believe that the Lord's coming is near, what about these scriptures?  Where do they fit into the picture of everything that is going on in the Last-Days?  The one world church isn't going to come out of nowhere!!!  It's being formed now, by people who simply refuse to "Let God be true, and EVERY man become the liar (Romans 3:4)!"  They have a name (Christian) that lives, but they are dead.  They love not the truth, but the lie, you can have the best of both worlds and therefore "God will send them a strong delusion that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (II Th 2:11-12).  God is serious about abiding in truth!  Are you?  Are you willing to simply let God be true and EVERY man a liar?  IF not, then your well on your way of be deceived "…if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will." (2 Tim 2:25-26).  Truth does NOT take a back seat to "Love & Unity."  The truth will make you free and keep you from error IF you love it; IF you abide in it; even if it contradicts your favorite personality preacher!

"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." (2 Pet 3:17-18)

 

The MANY Factor

    

     MANY will be deceived, and MANY will be deceiving.  "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (2 Tim 3:13)."  This in itself ought to sound an alarm within your spirit to TAKE HEED!  The spiritual condition of the Last-Days will be plagued with the deception of MANY!

 

For MANY shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive MANY.   Matt 24:5   And then shall MANY be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Matt 24:10    And MANY false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive MANY.  Matt 24:11   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of MANY shall wax cold.   Matt 24:12   For we are not as MANY, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.   2 Cor 2:17

(For MANY walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:   Phil 3:18   For there are MANY unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:   Titus 1:10   And MANY shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.   2 Pet 2:2     Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because MANY false prophets are gone out into the world.   I Jn 4:1

 

 

The Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error!

     Once again, Jesus said, "Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matt 24:3-4).   SELAH!  Stop for a moment and meditate on what Jesus just said, TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU!  Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you are above deception! EVERY person, EVERY Church, if they are doing something for God, WILL be visited by seducing spirits in order to deceive!  "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you." (I John 2:26-28).  "Seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. (1 Tim 4:1)  They seduce you!  They "ALLURE through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness." (2 Pet 2:18)  "They teach things they ought not for filthy lucre's sake." (Titus 1:11) 

They "..creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts," (2 Tim 3:6; compare Jude 4)

     The devil's mission is not just to deceive people who are already deceived, but to deceive people who are of the truth, and God will permit it!  God will allow us to be tested…

    "If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,  And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;  Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God PROVETH you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him." (Deut 13:1-4)

 

     Do you love the truth? (2 Thes 2:12)  Not everybody is able to hear, nor handle the truth.  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear!  The golden rule to NOT being deceived is simply, "Let God be true, and EVERY man become the liar!" (Romans 3:4).   The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth!  The Spirit and The Word agree!  God exalted His Word above His name and He sent the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into all truth!  NEVER let a man, a preacher, a T.V. personality or anybody else have preeminence over the Word of God!  It doesn't matter who they are, if MANY are following him or even if miracles are happening! (DT 13) "Let God be true, and EVERY man become the liar!"
