Christians in the hands of a Jealous God - PREFACE

Christians in the hands of a Jealous God

 -PREFACE-

On July 8, 1741, Jonathan Edwards delivered the sermon entitled "Sinners in the hands of an angry God." In the year of Our Lord 2002, being even closer to the soon appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, than previous generations, the Spirit speaketh expressly(distinctly), that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." (1 Tim 4:1) With such an urgency to keep "the faith" pure that started nearly 2,000 years ago, Jude wrote, "… I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." How much more is it needful for us to stand on the Lord's side of the plumbline in this day and not bow our knees to the Babylonian Spirit nor kiss his image? Our God is still a consuming fire (Heb 12:29). Instead of Sinners in the hands of an angry God, it's sinning saints that need to fear and fear God ONCE AGAIN, for he is a Jealous God! "The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" (Isa 33:14) Judgment doesn't begin with the lost, but those who know the truth (Christians) and hold it in unrighteousness, who change the truth of God into a lie. (Romans 1)

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" (1 Pet 4:17-18)

2 Corinthians 11:2-4

"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear (allow him to do so, and follow his teachings) with him.

We are in the day of great transition, where to preach the truth and to stand against all unrighteousness is hated and despised! It would be one thing IF it was just the world acting that way, but it’s the people who claimed they are Christ’s, while living just as vile as the world! Evil is called good and good is being called evil! A darkness seems to lie upon the people of the land but a gross darkness seems to lie upon those who are religious, people who hold the truth, but they hold it in unrighteousness. Never before has it been more difficult to present truth to a generation of people that claim to be Christians than it is to today! People who claim they’re "Christians", but deny His teachings; People who claim they’re "Christians", but are no more "Christ-like " than the devil is. "unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:15-16

"Christians in the hands of a Jealous God," is a series of Bible Studies concerning the "apostasy" taking place in our day, "the Last-Days," which the Holy Bible said will come, and will come to pass and is already here! Many have no idea what is really being preached by false prophets and false teachers in the land. We seem to have no clue who these people are, and what we're giving heed to, even though the Bible describes them in character and nature, "it's anybody, but so and so." Deceived by preachers' personalities, esteeming what they say above the Word of God. God's name is Jealous (Ex 34:14), He is Holy (Lev 11:44,45), and He will not give His glory to another (Isa 48:11)! Man IS NOT entitled to have His preeminence (Col 1:18), All Glory and Honor unto the Lord God Almighty, my Lord, Savoir, and King! Let God be true and EVERY man the Liar! (Roman 3:4)

What saith the Scriptures?

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? 1 Cor 10:22

Who will hear? Who will forbear?
