COMMENTS on CURRENT EVENTS of TODAY

MAY/JUNE 2003

 

WAXING COLD:

   "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." (Matt 24:11-12)  As I stated in previous studies, the Lord Jesus said this would happen prior to His return!  If we really believe the Lord IS AT THE DOORS, then where does this scripture fit into the day in which we live?  It has to apply somewhere?  I'm afraid this scripture among many others is taken lightly and in whole denominations completely ignored because deception by false prophets has settled in just as Jesus said in verse 11!  The World, because of our lack of witness, is becoming aggressively more and more anti-Christ.  Homosexuality before, was abhorred even by everyday common people who were not even saved; but now it seems to be pushed through the media as socially and politically acceptable!

   "Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed,    neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them

              they shall be cast down, saith the LORD." (Jer 6:15)  

    Our day of transition from a white-hot glow to a lukewarmness (Rev 3:16) reminds me of comparisons in Lot's day; Read Gen 19:1-26.  The Bible goes on to say, "And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:"  (2 Pet 2:6-9)  Is it any wonder why Jesus said  "as it was in the days of Lot…. (Lk 17:28)  and "Remember Lot's wife"  (Luke 17:32)

 

 

MUSLIMS and the ISLAMIC JIHAD: 

    Do you find it interesting that the religion everybody is defending as a religion of peace IS the religion where terrorist strikes around the world are coming from!  If you're a Muslim, sorry but it's the truth!  I love you, but it's the truth!  Osama Bin Laden is not calling on Hindus, Mormons, Atheist or any other group of people to commit suicide/homicide terrorist attacks; he's calling on Muslims!  News reports from around the world (and listen for the key words) are commonly referring to the attacks from MUSLIM extremist, MUSLIM radicals, the ISLAMIC jihad!!!  If the Koran and the teachings of Mohammed didn't permit and excuse terrorism then it would be impossible to tag it to a dedicated, precious, but deceived people, and Osama Bin Laden wouldn't have anybody to call on!!!!

 

 

WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION: 

     Finally, the last thing I have recently been thinking about concerning what's going on in the world, from changes in the lingo as to why we went to War with Iraq, there has STILL been NO Weapons of Mass Destruction found, what's going on here?  One thing I know for sure, America has Weapons of Mass Destruction that are worse off than any nuclear bomb Saddam had.  We have done more damage and had more innocent causalities than any other country in the world!!!  America's Weapon of Mass Destruction IS none other than "Abortion!"  

 

   Maybe God's trying to show us our sin and we won't repent; Unlike King David when Nathan the Prophet told him about the little ewe lamb (2 Samuel 12) It's time to humble ourselves, repent, and turn from our wicked ways!  Pastors, where's the Word from the Lord to this wicked and adulterous generation?  Watchman, watchman, what of the night??  Is this such a time to go after gold and apparel???  Will not all these things perish and drown men in perdition????  Will they not melt with fervent heat and be destroyed?????

 

"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;  And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"  Rev 6:15-17
