America? Better Days Ahead?

Will the World Get Better before Jesus returns?

There's been much ground lost that the Church in America once had: public School prayer, Bible reading, displaying of the "Ten Commandments", etc. Are there better days ahead when American Christians played during our window of opportunity? Will restoring the "Ten Commandments" in the public arena dispel the gross darkness that is settling upon the land? If we could just get "Christians" in government, can we turn this thing around and make this world a better place? Beloved, Bible prophecy cannot be changed, the Last-Days will unroll just like it is foretold in Scripture. There will not be any preventing or overthrowing the "antichrist" coming to power, like the "Christian" movie "Revelation" tries to display. God has declared it, and it will happen AS He declared it! So with that in mind, what IF the "Ten Commandments" were our National motto?

Isaiah 26:9-12 says, "With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them. LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us."

With all good efforts and intentions, we're not going to make this world a better place because…

Isaiah 30:8-11

"Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:

That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:

Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us."

In the "Last-Days" there's going to be more people than ever before that will be demon possessed, reprobate, deceived, full of murder and hate, children of disobedience fulfilling their father's works, treasuring up unto themselves wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Romans 1:28-32

As ambassadors of Christ, we should do everything we can to uphold righteousness in the land. But don't forget, this world IS NOT our home, we're strangers and pilgrims passing through looking for a city that has foundations whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:10) "For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. (Hebrews 11:14-16) The thing we don't understand and overlook about the last of the seven Churches, the Church of Laodicea, is that, Laodicea is two Greek words put together, "Laos" (people) and "dike" (rights). Which literally translates as "people of rights." Call it a "Christian Coalition" if you want to, but the problem is that, as a Christian you have no rights outside of Jesus "…ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price:" (1 Cor 6:19-20) It's not for us to rally around fight for our rights, "It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law." (Ps 119:126) If you feel we should rally together and do something, let's do what the apostles did in Acts chapter 4:24-33

"And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all."
