Champagne wishes
and Cadillac dreams
On Saturday 1.05.02, there was another attack on America's skyscrapers in Tampa, Fl. When I first heard about it, I told my wife, "The amazing thing about it is that with all that is going on, we still have many preachers preaching as if nothing at all happened on 9.11." It's like we heard the alarm clock trying to wake us up, but many are hitting the snooze button on God and just rolling back over loving to sleep, loving to slumber. We rather much have Champagne wishes and Cadillac dreams!
"The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark (warn); sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant. (The sum of many so-called "prosperity preachers" today) Isa 56:8-12
Islam is one of the deadliest physical expressions of the "anti-Christ" spirit to come on the scene, but where is the Restrainer? The Hinderer of Lawlessness? It's obviously not in the mainstream flow of popular preachers! (But God still has a remnant) I challenge you, in love, take heed how you hear, who you are listening to, and who you are letting have influence over you! Take ANY big name preacher, and you don't have to be critical, just simply go to their web site and observe what they're teaching. What's the bulk of what they're offering as from God in audio and video tapes? Is there any warning? Warning to flee from the wrath of God to come? Warning about Hell and who goes there? I went online to put it to the test. I went to Creflo Dollar's web site @ www.creflodollarministries.org and without being critical, what I viewed all throughout the Audio/Video archives, Study Center, and Book Store, had no impact on preparing me to meet Jesus. To stand before God and give an account for all that I have done, whether good or bad. The devil doesn't fear, care or tremble IF we're wearing $1,000 shoes, driving a Rolls Royce, or have a million dollars in our bank account! Ask the rich man that went to Hell (see Luke 16:19-31). What did he want Abraham to send Lazarus back to preach? "Let's see how rich God can make us?" Or was it to warn his five brethren not to come to this place of torment? Notice also Abraham's powerful witness to the Word of God, "The Bible": v.31 "And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." Now the Word of God says, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 'And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Tim 4:3-4) So….
Can the "Prosperity" message that has invaded our land, combat or restrain the Sword and rage of Islam (an anti-Christ spirit)?
After September 11th happened, I went back and checked out was being said, preached and taught by a lot of famous preachers before the tragedy happened; and you know what: The majority of them have no warning of the pending destruction, the wrath of God to come or ANY kind of End-Time setting EXCEPT for the fulfillment of the proliferation of false teachers that will pop up in the Last-Days teaching things they ought not for filthy lucre sake (Titus 1:11). Who has ears to hear, let him hear! Who will let God be true and every man the liar? How we need a spirit and baptism of repentance! American Christian, the only thing that's going to change anything is REPENTANCE! Don't even be deceived or even content with the seemingly renewal of prayer. (see Proverbs 15:8) God commands everyone everywhere to REPENT (Acts 17:30)! John the Baptists said, "REPENT!" (Matt 3:2) Jesus said, "REPENT!" (Matt 4:17). Peter said, "REPENT!" (Acts 2:38) We're built upon the foundation of the apostles, prophet and Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone!
Once again, pleases take heed how you
hear, who you are listening to, and who you are letting have influence over
you!
