Through the Shadows

That handsome man on one knee

Wanting you to hear his plea

That he is in love with me

Which only makes you want to flee

Through the shadows you hear

Three men who laugh and sneer

Holding the woman who tears

Killing her flesh, soul, and fears

You run so not to be near

Through the shadows you find

A man whose lost his mind

making another man bind

His soul by a paper he signed

So the other can own for he's unkind

Through the shadows you know

For where ever the wind may blow

Darkness will always show

Cruelty to the fast and slow

So beware for they always know
