Gundam Wing starts in the era of AC. (After Colony)  Wars and battles are almost always occuring on Earth, and space colonies are at peace.  The wars on earth finally ended in  about 175 A.C.  By this time, the Earth's government was able to create the  Earth Sphere  Alliance.  This organization was to bring peace on Earth and space.  Not known by the public people, the Alliance was used like a toy for the The Romefeller Foundation. For the sake of peace, the Alliance's Army, known as OZ, took control of the colonies and destroyed  opponents with mecha warfare machines known as Mobile Suits . After about 20 years of conflict, a group of rebels that were part of the colonies decided to take action against the Earth Alliance.And with the aid  of the 5 great scientists who first developed the Mobile Suits, the rebels created five of the most powerful Mobile Suits, also known as Gundams. However, no regular skilled Mobile Suit pilots can control these machines because of their special technology. So five children were chosen and trained at a  young age, each very different from each other These children were chosen to pilot the Gundams. These children were Chang Wufei, Quatre Winner, Trowa Barton, Duo Maxwell, and Heero Yuy. Together, they would destroy OZ and the Alliance, in the name of peace.
