City:   Qel'Run A city-state, formerly merchant based. The population was high psionic based, but the Suls have been weeding out these people as defective and potential trouble makers. Aproximately ten years ago, the Sulerun people came in from the north. With the HeartStone gone, the Qel struggled to rebuild the home guard, but they didn't have the inner inclination to be strong warriors. The Sul found Qel'Run easy prey. They set up the city as a new provence, and made General Osterei, the leader of the Sul people the Regent of the city.

      In one sense, he ran the city fairly, keeping graft and coruption to a reasonable (to his mind) minimum. But, he also had his own vices.

     The people of Qel wer not silent, however. A small resistance group formed and attempted to both support the poorer of the city, and make the Sul aware that they were neither liked nor appreciated with eventual hope of removing the Sul entirely.

      They hid the place where the HeartStone had guarded the Rift, knowing fully the danger it was. Before the city ever fell, every man, woman and child swore an oath never to speak of the rift, so that perhaps by silence they might keep the city safe.
