In 1986, the Brougham received a 5.0 liter engine in place of the 4.1, yielding increases in both horsepower and torque. The Brougham Coupe was also dropped this year. The Brougham also lost weight due to lighter springs in the front suspension.

This is the 1987 Brougham. This car received a new cross hatched grill. The Fleetwood designation was dropped and the car was simply known as the Brougham.
