Trippin...page 6
A canoe is not a boat! A'canoe' with a motor on it
is just a skinny boat!!!!
When you travel by canoe, you have the opportunity
to see places in a way that motorboat travelers
will never know exist. They may look in awe
at a particular scene as they speed by, but
they don't "see" it !
Scenes like this, off the Suwannee River, are
passed by and not enjoyed , unless you paddle
. These small creeks and breaks in the river
channel hide a visual feast.
This creek, also off the Suwannee, is so
tranquil. As your eyes behold the peace of
the place , your body relaxes. No presciption
necessary.
Me....just a 'relaxed' sort of day.
I call this the "C" tree. Maybe
for 'canoe' or the first letter of my last
name. This reflection certainly offers up
a great effect.
We can't hide from life's problems. We all
find our own ways to deal with them, and
in many ways we all succeed.
But try this, slide your canoe into a quiet
little 'bay' like the one pictured above,
barely touch the water as you move ahead.
Listen, look, smell, and feel. Become for
a few minutes at least, part of the scenery.
Move very slowly, breathe softly, and you
will better understand the meaning of YOUR
life.
