My Friend From The Start
Once in a while,
you meet somebody new
and it seems that you know
from the start
You've found someone special
to trust and confide in
with whom you can talk
heart to heart .
You'll have the same values,
you'll have the same interests,
have similar goals to pursue .
And from that time on,
There'll be someone who cares,
there'll be someone
to help see you through.
You'll share with each other
a warmth and a closeness,
a feeling that never will end .
Once in a while,
you meet somebody new
who becomes such a wonderful friend.
I know in my heart
that I'll never forget
the way I could tell
just as soon as we met
