I dream of just one yesterday
When life was good and love
was fresh and young
No thoughts of partings
and heartaches to come
Just one yesterday...
when you loved me
And you were always my world
The magic that we shared
on long summer nights
Holding you close as
you whispered my name
While we sat and watched the
Angels light the stars of the night
If only....
I could borrow just one yesterday
Tomorrow will bring my
heart a sweet memory
As I walk the last
part of my lonely journey
The rivers of life have tried
to wash our footprints away
But if just one yesterday remains..
