ARE YOU AWARE OF THE EXPENSIVE SPORTS HABITS OF THE FLORIDA DOC? IT HAS ALL BEEN REPORTEDLY PUT TOGETHER ON YOUR MONEY WITH NO BENEFIT TO YOU THE CITIZEN.

If I am ever hurt or killed over this work, I suspect that the things and people and practices talked about in this area of MTWT will be at the bottom of it, no matter what it looks like on the surface. Imagine having a system that you have to worry about more than the inmates they are supposed to protect you from? Kay Lee

AND OTHER INTERESTING THINGS

"If you had a number of  officers who would be witnesses for his lack of professionalism and character, more than likely, you would see the Warden and the Major at FSP fired. You would see DC personnel coming out of the wood pile by leaps and bounds." ~Anonymous DOC Employee

"Prior to the 2002 election, "Mr. Davis, at UCI, was "keeping tabs" on his administrative shift as to who went to the Bush rally's etc.  If an officer on the Administrative shift did not participate in the functions for Bush, then he would find himself on the midnight shift, etc."  DOC Employee XXX

The Story as Told To KayLee
By various DOC Employees

Tues, 5 Nov, 2002

Kay Lee, We have spoken a few times.  I am officer XYZ [Name deleted by Kay Lee] from X Correctional Institution [Name of institution deleted by Kay Lee].  This institution is in Region II. This is not a X CI problem, this is wide-spread corruption that is costing people their lives, jobs, emotional well being and a violation of their civil rights.

Officers are starting to "break" if you will.  The wall of silence that has been built around the things that are going on inside Florida's Prison system is starting to crumble.  Some major issues regarding staff and inmates are going to become public knowledge soon because The situation is intolerable.

Staff abuse is a known fact and many employees are getting tired of the mess that Jeb and Michael have created towards staff!  Kaylee, we are talking about officers of the rank of Lieutenant and above who are scared as well.  Some of them have over 20 years in the department!  There is a lot at stake, but they are now talking and ready to unveil the truth about what the hell is going on.

We are asking you not to tell anybody our names. ~FDOC Employee

SERIOUS ABOUT DOC SPORTS
Wed, 6 Nov 2002

"The prisons have actually recruited professional baseball players and are paying them under the table.

So, a couple of weeks ago, a Sergeant at FSP got sick and tired of Clark and Crosby's BS.  He was ready to blow the whistle on them. This Officer was taken into Colonel Clark's office and beaten severely.

"WHY?  It all had to do with the Prison Professional Baseball team.   Michael Moore made it clear to Crosby and Clark that he wanted it to be kept quiet.

"To make a long story short, Michael Moore came to FSP and got into Colonel Clark's face.  Told him that if he could not keep his "boys" under control, then he would find someone who could. He came to FSP personally and delivered that message! Crosby was in the mix of it as well.

Michael Moore was personally involved along with Jimmy Crosby.  James Crosby is more than likely going to be named the new Secretary of the Department in a few days. Jimmy Clark is rumored to be moving into the Region II directors spot. Crosby is a very powerful man who would stop at nothing to shut someone up. ~An Officer Who Knows

NOTE: JAN 6, 2003 - IT'S NOW OFFICIAL:
JAMES CROSBY IS THE GOVERNOR'S CHOICE FOR SECRETARY OF 'CORRECTIONS' FOR THE FLORIDA PRISON SYSTEM!

These are just a couple of things that are recently happening in Region II - They have tried to keep this very quiet but the facts that surround this story are real.  And you thought only inmates were getting the mess beat out of them. ~C/O

BALL PLAYERS and THEIR STUFF

Kay Lee, You would be amazed at the money that has been spent to develop and implement these ball clubs.  They play other institutions.  Kind of like the pistol matches that DC has.

On SR 16, in the front yard of Colonel Clark's house, a "beach" has been built.  This is a Volleyball court and horseshoe "arena".  People from all over the state come here to compete. Flag football, baseball, softball, and golf and the other sports that are so god almighty important.

Guys are getting "recruited" or promoted to a high rank so they can play for a particular institution.

Interesting information regarding FSP .  An officer by the name of Marcus Hodges was hired and recruited to play ball for FSP.  The problem is that Hodges is an ex-con from Georgia.  Next, his brother in law is THE Colonel Clark! We thought you may find this information to be helpful and informative. How he ever got hired is beyond me.

Somehow, the officer at FSP who was beat was involved in the "funds" or something.  Another Lieutenant at *** CI is being harassed by the same bunch. ~FDOC

The Strike!  PLAY BALL!!!
Fri, 8 Nov 2002

The ball team plays against other institutions.  You should see the elaborate equipment and the "beach" that was built in Colonel Clark's front yard on state property.  Sports are a big deal for some reason.  Still can't figure out why.  Volleyball, Flag football, golf, horse shoes, baseball, softball and just a few.

These institutions actually "recruit" officers from all over or will even promote someone to get them to play on their institution's team.  Money from the employees club's have come up missing from FSP, New River, Lawtey, UCI, NFRC and from other institutions around the state.  At Lawtey, the staff canteen was shut down for over a month but the only investigation that was conducted was by the IG's office, which is dirty DC folks.

NFRC has gotten out of hand, too.  In front of UCI, a wonderful driving range was built so the officers on the golf team could "practice".  All of this was done with inmate labor and funding that is questionable.  Lot's of money is involved here. New River, FSP, UCI,Lawtey, NFRC are all involved.  I know this is state wide, but to what degree, I do not know.

It's a real mess.  We're talking about thousands and thousands of dollars - missing....  Boy, people are mad....

THE RAIFORD MAFIA

The Raiford Mafia is a well organized "gang."  It consists of men who hide behind organizations such as the Masons, Church groups, and PTA meetings. The Raiford Mafia works close with Law Enforcement, Judges, and State & Federal agencies.

Inmates are put into the middle of it by doing dirty deeds for officers in return for food, medical care, better living arrangements, etc.  The favors that inmates will be made to do range from murder, assault, lying on other inmates, setting up staff and the list goes on and on.

After staff is through with the inmate, they are transferred to another facility in a different region.  In some cases, sentences are even shortened or - if they do not comply - they are made longer or even KILLED.  Now are you getting the full picture.

We want this stopped and want justice to be served.

We hope you know that it is not just inmates that suffer on a daily basis because of DC.  XX was told to "make a decision" by two Sergeants who made the officer choose which "side" he was going to be on.  Both inmates and officers are going to need protection from this stress. We have a duty not to put any inmate or staff member in danger!  We are sworn law enforcement officers and our job is public safety. This goes from the Warden all the way down at the institution level.

The election results did not go as we had hoped, but that is life.  Jeb is going to have a lot of explaining to do in the next four years, which could bring his brother down as well as himself.

VALDES A SETUP?

Some of the information available has to do with the Valdes case.  See, the Valdes case goes beyond what you may or may not know.  Capt. Thornton was called into work for another Captain.  Crosby was on "vacation" and these officers who were involved in the beating were "set up" for the hit.  I am not saying they are innocent, what I am saying is that they were hand picked to do the deed.  Why?  I think I know, but am still not sure enough to say for a fact.

A jury member who was employed at *** CI is in the mix of this even though he is retired.  Sex, Gambling, misuse of funds, etc. are all tied into this drama.  Thinking about Wanda Valdes and her civil case...  If they can prove that this jury member is dirty, then he and the state can be sued.

As far as the jury member goes, if an investigator wants to look into this he may be able to "dig" something up.

The Strike!
Thu, 7 Nov 2002

Our duty is [supposed to be] to protect both staff and inmates from this ongoing situation that needs to be stopped.  I am sure you would agree, in a situation such as prisons, jails, etc., we need professional people who are not dirty and are just willing to do what is expected of them in a moral and ethical manner.

Public knowledge will just be a matter of time and The Florida Department of Corrections will have to answer to many issues. The current system of good ole boys' government in the FL Dept of Corrections needs to go.

From what I understand, there are some really upset, mad as hell people. They will not be able to just continue all this without causing a long and lengthy investigation that will include the feds.

This mess is real and it is very dangerous.  These people are nasty!  The Raiford Mafia is very well organized and has been in control for a long time.

Your web site is monitored very closely in this part of the state.  It is routinely talked about all the time.  It has had a major impact on the Department.  Keep up the work!!!!  Just wanted you to know that we think your cause and work is wonderful.

We are trusting in you because the Lord has put you and your cause in our hearts.

If you want more information, please do not hesitate to call.  Phone # is (xxx) xxx-xxxx.  Don't hesitate to contact us.

ROID RAGE
Sat, 25 Jan 2003

I read the new post on your site under the Guard Index, citing all the goings-on at FSP.

I happen to know of two ex-FSP workers (who have transferred elsewhere [but still within the Department kl]) that are steroid users, and sold steriods while at FSP. It is very popular there.

DOC doesnt do drug testing (not EVER after being hired) and even if they did, steroids would have to specifically be tested for, so it wouldnt show in a normal drug test.

When these employees started at my Institution, they brought the habit with them, and introduced it where I was at. Thank god they have left since then. The big "corn-fed" boys of FSP arent really that at all....they "reek" of steroid use, and they have the tempermental mood swings that go hand in hand. Uncontrollable rage.

RESPONSE FROM ATTORNEY
Thu, 7 Nov 2002
RE: INFORMATION ON VALDES
Etc.

Dear Kay Lee:  Regarding the attorney in the Valdes case:  If his mother has absolute confidence in him, if he is savvy about how cops collude with criminals, and can be trusted not to blow this - and only if you know that - should you confide in him.

I know three other attorneys, one personally, I could trust with this; the other two from having seen them in action in separate trials out of state.

The American Friends Service Committee and other organizations might help with this.
